Leper Jerusalem is my favorite song by them. Proscriptor of the band Absu used to play drums for this band back in the day. Absu is really amazing too.

Melechesh (meaning, if I recall correctly, "King of Fire"), they invented the term "Mesopotamian Metal" to describe their style, mixing black metal with Middle Eastern rhythmic style and delving into Mesopotamian, Sumerian and Assyrian themes, and later exploring too, the Kabbalah and Jewish mysticism. They were a gateway to folk metal, for me. So I'm gonna start being insistent on 2 petitions I think you should check: Keep the good work!

The band is from Israel but now they reside in the Netherlands and the lead singer known as Ashmedi is Assyrian in origin been into these guys since the early 2000s, they have another great song on this album with the one &only max Cavalera if you would like to check it out its called lost tribes

Musically this gets 10 out of 10 🤘, it’s right up my alley of Music, very headbang friendly. The song as a whole gets 8 out of 10 🤘, Israel can produce some great metal Music!
