Here’s another one of my most popular recipes. You can buy it in the shops but we’ve always made it from scratch, and I’m going to show you exactly how easy it is.
This is my loaded hummus which has a lovely fresh salad on top. All you need is some crusty bread to dip it in.
Ingredients
400g cooked chickpeas (soaked overnight and boiled / 1 x 660g jar or 2 x 400g can of good quality chickpeas
1-2 finely chopped garlic cloves (to your own taste)
5 tbsp tahini
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
40-60ml freshly squeezed lemon juice (to your own taste)
Garnish if you wish with a pinch each of paprika, sumac and pul biber, a drizzle of olive oil and finely chopped parsley.
