Melodic Fretless Bass Song with Double Stops - White Orchid

Having fun with some fretless melodies with lots of double stops & use of open strings. I'm playing quite some major thirds on the root notes, really love the melancholic feel that can give with some vibrato on a fretless :) I recorded the bass with an Ebs Microbass II preamp/DI straight into my audio interface. On the second half of the tune I used a Carl Martin Delayla XL pedal, besides that, no other effects were used. I made the drums with a Korg drum pad & Addictive Drums software.

I’d have to agree. I’m so over the proliferation of slap bass playing it’s not funny. I can’t see this style working in every genre but it’s definitely a breath of fresh air!

You can make one for cheap to try it out. Not that hard to do, just gotta rip them frets out and get some filler. Should be tutorials online !

All of your music is just so fantastic. I can't stop listening to your songs! This one has to be in my top 10 so far. and honestly there are probably like 20 songs in my top 10 list lol. You are that good IMO. In fact I have been wanting to play a stringed instrument for years and your music was the catalyst to make me go out and purchase a Bass Guitar and started to play.
