I can't tell if you put Jesus Christ at the end of the sentence as an exclamation or if you called him Jesus Christ. Either way, both interpretations are valid.
@Jimmy Neutron ah hell yes cryptopsy, maybe insert morbid angel too for a mix (e.i the altars of madness album) which has alot of melodic shit but still is brutal as fuck, but death i see as both, and i use the scream bloody gore and leprosy albums as examples, or use there song the philosepher as a whole example
Yeah, I'm aware of that. I find it difficult to happen, but I register my songs, so if it happens, I'll just go and copyright claim it :D Thanks for liking it.
He's definitely an amazing genius guitar player, but can we take a moment to appreciate how pretty and handsome he is? Can't wait for your first record to drop!
I like brutal riffs with melodic solos. I think it works well. This stuff you play sounds good to me. I don't know how brutal it is. I am desensitized.
Ever play video games and just watch you friends play? If they pass you a controller and ask "Hey, want to play?" I'm always like "Nah I'm good watching" That's me with this guy.
if all the riffs are made by you, man you are a great riff maker, a genius, if you have a band then you have a new fan, so beautiful riffs (sorry for the bad english)
Want both in a song? Spirit Crusher, Lack of Comprehension, the Philosopher, Flesh and the Power it Holds, or pretty much any song by Death after Leprosy.
I hope you are able to fully record these riffs into a full length one day man, these riffs are almost an extension of what Chuck Schuldiner has done in past but brought back into current day through your playing. Awesome Lux! keep it going man! and keep it Metal \m/
Great stuff. I love both but I'll admit I have a soft spot for Melodic riffs. I guess that comes from some of favourite bands such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and even certain Thrash bands like Heathen and early Metallica. But I love both riff types of course.
Some incredibly tasty riffage there! =D The brutal variants were pretty melodic in their own right. Would I be correct in guessing you have a lot of Death/Chuck Schuldiner influence?
I'm like sitting here thinking "am I high or did he speed up his parts for this video??" So I looked in the comments to see if anyone else was talking about it. No one was mentioning it and the more I read the more confused I became because I was now absolutely certain he sped up his parts. Then, as im about to comment about it, I remembered I had the playback speed set to 1.5x. Glad I didn't let myself look like a complete idiot.
Ciao Leonardo, may I ask you a request? Is it possible for you to make a video tribute - in your style of course -, in regard the great Alexi Laiho? I was thinking about the song "Dead man's on you", it has a really beautiful intro and melody throughout the whole song that may shine on a clean guitar version, also fucking heavily distorted as well ;) PS: any song would be highly appreciated! Rip Wild Child!
I like a nice mix of brutal and melodic. That is why Through Struggle by As I Lay Dying is one of my favorite songs. Also, TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Most of these would sound absolutely at home in a death record. Riff 3 is very At The Gates-esque in the best way possible. Great job my dude, rock the fuck on. \m/
