Marlene went all out on a limb for Martell in that episode and said every fowl thing he asked her to say and he sat there and stuck a fork in her drunk tail when he said "Kids don't need a mother but they need a dad more. In that one sentence he totally disrespected her as being the ONLY parent of the two that he had. She should have realized right then & there that he set her up to diss his ex wife and mother of his children on national tv and as her reward he denigrated her whole role in his life. Basically saying he didnt need her & needed a dad more. Showing her that he doesn't appreciate her either because shes a woman. He knows hes F'd up because of her.
