Mississippian Structures in Minneapolis Minnesota I find a piece of "antique" or old world (Celadon) pottery with a imprinted stamp near mint condition. Upon some follow up research, I'm learning that Celedon is one of the most valuable & precious in the pottery world. It usually refers to the prized and treasured jade green colored chinese glaze fired onto the finest of porcelains. What I found here seems to be a possible fragment of unglazed nonvitreous (not vitrified) lightly fired earthenware. It is said that even fragments of celedon can hold much value. Modern celedon is made different. Today celedon is usually glaze and will almost always have a fresh stamp in chinese characters somewhere on the piece. "Antique" celedon pieces will either have no stamp, a faded Chinese stamp or Korean stamp and even stamps in some European languages such as this find.
