This episode was like looking back on a nightmare..... The only way I could get it right was to heat the mold until glowing at about 800°C, the aluminium at 1000°C and pour in and immediately run a flat edge across the mold to remove the excess then deal with the shrinkage after cooling. What a mare. Great attempt though.

I think that flat edge might of worked on one of them but it was very frustrating 😂 thank you for watching

Nice try, you'll get it i'm sure. I've seen some melt metal in a ceramic bowl with a propane torch. You might get it if you fill the criss mould with aluminum chips and melt them wirg that.

Only 5 minutes in mate use sand to make a funnle slight slope then the ingot mold at the bottom pour slowly it will trickle down giving you more control trust me you have petrabond. Anyway awesome so far on with the video.

I made 3 crosses from copper to brass to dirty copper. You have too cut them out.

Cross easier to pour with a sand cast, brass works well also.

It might work better with zinc or perhaps brass or copper?
