This video is insane. I can only imagine the time put into getting these combos working and recorded so well, especially the move for move matching by Ciel at the beginning. Great job!
Melty Blood is a huge franchise in Japan but seriously underrated in North America. In fact, only two Melty Blood games came out in North America: Melty Blood:Act Cadenza, and Melty Blood: Act Cadenza ver.B Both came out for the PC and PS2
Actually, most 2D fighters do get ported over to the US. It's just that they are hard to find, such as Guilty Gear and Arcana Heart. It's only well known games like Street Fighter that are easy to find.
PHENOMENAL vid of MELTY BLOOD!!!! i'm a nub at this, but just by watching this vid, i think i can pull off some flashy stuff. that's until i get good, so be on the look out. v(^.^)v
Well, when I say "without the silly garlic stuff", I was refering to stuff like how mirrors are a plague for vamps and how holding garlic up can cause heavy physical harm.
It's excellent... I love both Guilty Gear and Melty Blood equally. It's at least worth downloading MB Re-Act, or if you have a modded PS2, MB Act Cadenza.
sick combos. especially the beginning. i got a question, i recently got the torrent version of melty blood and im wonderin if a game pad is usable for it
Where can I play this? I love all 2D fighting, I own over 70 2D fighting games, for all system. My fav's are the ones for my saturn, and dreamcast, some on my ps2. Your video's ROCK!
Nah, Re-Act and Act Cadenza were never released in North America, sadly. :/ I wish they'd release Act Cadenza here, so I wouldn't have to load up Swap Magic every time I wanted to play it.
I woulld love to have this game...I've played with some of the MB characters on mugen and they're pretty nice...and this video is amazing...especially the second song does anybody know what it's called?
i got it for free after 3 days of downloading with a p2p program. but i RULES. the thing that bugs me is the japanese. is there an english patch or english move list or something?
If you can get it for Xbox, then go for it. No matter what, don't get Accent Core on the Wii. The controls are too sensitive and tend to be hit and miss, even if your using a gamecube controller. I main with Johnny and I kept doing jump attacks when I was trying to end a combo with Mist Finer. And it was hell just to watch someone who main with Chipp get his ground game all screwed up by the oversensitive analogue. The fact that you can't use the D-pad didn't make things easier.
That's because demon metal bands almost always lack originality, with the few originals refering to damnation more than undead. I find the games title very suiting, considering the vampire characters and all. And without the silly garlic stuff as well.
Poor Melty Blood. If it came out on DC would have sold almost all the copies printed and within a year be an instant collectors item. Instead they released on PS2 and now it's in bargain bins. Such a shame.
heh nice o.o but i have some melty blood characters for mugen like myoko and scion and i want to add their heat bar to thier players but dont know how if anyone can help plz PM me
It's possible to do that in a real fight? Not just to hit him and start THAT in the fight, I mean... even if you manage to start those crazy combos, the opponent can escape, don't?
1. OTGs have been around forever dude. And they're becoming more prominent these days. Have you played BlazBlue? Everyone's got them. MvC3 has also somewhat copied Re-Act's formula of OTGs. And then there's Hokuto no Ken. 2. This is a combo exhibition 3. Not necessarilly, most of the moves being used to juggle have a lot of hitstun, so the opponent can't recover. jabs are used to keep momentum going, like relaunches and whiff cancels and such. 4. This is a combo exhibition.
aww...yeah for sure. Wii has the worst controls for left and right combat games like street fighter and stuff. Wii should stick with 3-D. Yea, it's easier using D-pad...not if like your use to playing the arcade version or something.(with the giant joystick)
