Melvin Odoom is a British radio DJ and television presenter, known for his breakfast show on Kiss with Rickie Haywood-Williams and Charlie Hedges. His work on radio has been recognised at the Sony Radio Awards for the Kiss 100 radio breakfast show and he has presented BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. He is also the host of E4’s television show, Celebrity Cooking School, competed on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing and was involved in Channel 4’s Celebrity Save Our Sperm Campaign.
On their snowy walk, Melvin chats to Aimee about his career and what it’s like to work with your friends. He says: ‘I actually don’t see them as my mates, I see them as family. I think that’s why people tune in because they become part of our family for a few hours a day.’
He also opens up about modern dating, especially dating as a public figure and tells Aimee how music is a huge part of his life, sharing some of his favourite songs with her. They discuss his move into television hosting Celeb Cooking School and his involvement with Channel 4’s Celebrity Save Our Sperm Campaign which taught him a lot about his own health and wellbeing.
