ALL About Friendships - Toxic Friends, Losing Friends, Making Friends, & Loneliness. 

There are so many things I've drawn from this podcast 1. Pray from mindful community, God wants that for you 2. Be intentional about being friends 3. Be 'that' friend to other who might equally need you 4. Do not isolate yourself. Keep trying, join new groups 5. Loneliness is a season but we have the ability to change us for better 6. Its inevitable and we're going to lose friends and that's ok 7. We are not alone in this

I needed this. Please pray for me; im having a hard time with my friends right now. Im in grade ten. My friends are making new friends and im left alone often. Their friends dont have the same values as i do and most of them dont honour God. As a believer, i am looking for friends who will influence me positively and Im finding it extremely hard to make friends who think the same way. I feel different than my friends and i feel like i dont belong with them, yet theyre all i have. Please pray for me if you can! Great podcast btw. Love you Jeanine! Keep it up! I was intentional today about looking for something to listen in to today, specifically in regards to friendships as I am having a hard time right now. Thank you for this video it was very powerful and what I needed. Also another reminder that I want to continue to grow my faith and relationship with God.

I have told my own subscribers that you are the sum of the five people you associate the most with. (That's Jim Rohn's quote by the way). Many times either someone you may have been friends with for decades has gone toxic and free fallen into the chaotic abyss or maybe you have just improved yourself and are no longer in chaos yourself. The painful fact is you will find you have to leave people behind. Because if you don't you will find yourself being continuously drawn into their misery. You will start to be aggravated with them for not advancing their own way our of their catastrophe. Anyone who was at rock bottom and surrounded by the like will know what I'm talking about. It took be a decade for two I knew well who I had to let drown in their constant state of chaos. Because I had nothing in common with them any longer. As the saying goes--if you want to fly with eagles you have to make them your flock. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles

I just ended a friendship where they always made hurtful jokes to my face and then said just kidding or it's just a joke, never asked for my opinion when making plans, would belittle my time management skills and my planning skills in front of others, took me for a liar even though I am a very honest person and wasn't there for me when I went through the biggest trauma. Rather than having my back, they took me for a liar and questioned my character when I trusted them with my pain. I felt as if they saw me as a competition for some reason. She is a believer, but it seemed as if maybe she drifted from God a little bit. It was so hard to let this friendship go, but I knew the Lord wanted me to, so I am really going through a season of loneliness now. My friend put all the blame on me, which has been really discouraging, because I have always chosen to be kind and root for her. Another friend of mine is really close to this friend that I let go of, so I feel I may have lost two friends. I have known both of them since childhood. I am trying to trust God that He has the right friends for me, but I have been having a really hard time mentally.. I could use some prayers. It's so hard to let go of a friend you have known since childhood. I could really relate to this video. I thought this woman was going to be one of my bridesmaids at my wedding. I am trying to put myself out there more and I am planning on trying to join a worship team or something because I really love to sing.

This is my biggest struggle. Connecting with other people I get along with that are godly women but who I don't need to feel like I'm judged by ... Also I feel like only a man can love me in the way you describe. I have trouble connecting this way with women.

Jeanine, how do you navigate friendships when they are genuine, amazing, consistent friends that make me better, but aren't believers? I always struggle with this.

Mine just don’t start the chats first, I have to. And over a few years since we graduated high school, I gave up reaching out with nothing in return. I haven’t messaged them since the new year. And no they haven’t messaged once. And I’m fine with that since they aren’t there for me like I was. Before that when I was still trying, I’d hang out with them once that year and I didn’t feel like myself :( so it was also a sign

I’ve lost a friend over differences and it hasn’t been easy.. but what I can say, is that God is getting the though it! Hey Jeanine, I am a teen and I have some problems with a church friend that sometimes I can't be myself around her and she hurts my feeling a bit, and she's not really happy for me and it hurts me. Do you think that's toxic and or should I still be friends with her? Thanks for inspiring me!
