A little over a year ago I lost my sister to stage 4 cancer. I had never dealt with loss like that before so navigating the grieving process was difficult. For months after I would be caught daydreaming , thinking of a happy memory we shared together. For a brief moment it would almost feel like nothing was wrong, until reality set back in.
This project allowed me to take my mind off things. Once I felt ready, I approached a few very talented artists for some help bringing this idea to life. And thanks to them, we created something incredible. While we may not have that person we loss with us anymore, we’ll always have our memories with them. These are what push us forward. Knowing we can always reflect back on the good times and escape for a minute, helping us ease the pain.
