I am now in medical school and we're going over some things regarding the brain. The lecturer mentioned hypothalamus and I immediately remembered "hypo the llamas" from this video about 6 years ago when I was in high school. Haha. Had to go back and find this video. Thanks for making it stick all these years!
OH MY WORD YOU ARE BRILLIANT!! I really REALLY wish you were my lecturer - you have no idea how much your videos have helped me! Please carry on making these videos, not only are they the reason for me getting A+ but they make learning so much fun! Thank you so very much!
This is by far the goofiest thing Ive ever seen! Thank you for making the brain easy and fun to memorize. Definitely my way of making connections and i only had to watch this once to get things right! Keep making videos!!
I just wanted to say thank you for taking the time of improving peoples knowledge. I love the brain and the study of the brain and your ways of teaching helps alot. thank you
thank you, thank you thank you! I have a psychology test tomorrow and I have to klearn all the parts of the brain and your video is amazing in teaching me them with corny, but effective, tricks. Thank you once again.
Thank you so much! I don't know why it is so hard to remember these brain bits, compared to remembering other things, maybe because it is all so abstract. The way you did it, getting all the props, taking the time, brilliant! I have passed it on to others, you are awesome for doing this. Much much much appreciated.
honestly, when i clicked on this i thought it was going to be stupid and weird. but after having watched it, it's been so much help to me. thank you so muchh
Oh thank God, I have a General Psychology exam in less than 12 hours and I'm studying as hard as I can but the brain has me stuck! I'm really only needing the components of the brain but I'm sure we have to learn what each does anyway, so I thank you! I usually can come up with things on my own but not when I'm pressed for time.
By far I prefer the original version. Hippo with a compass dangling below her chin finding her way back to swamp is ... unforgettably memorable. No decoding needed.
Thank you so much. My psych. professor suggested I watch this video last year and I gained a solid recall of these parts of the brain the same night I watched it. I am going to make my girlfriend watch this video tonight because she is still a bit shakey on her memorization of the parts of the brain. (we are in physiology, but the solid recall this video ensures would be helpful to anyone)
with my first uni exam up next week (returning to study after 25 years!) this video is fantastic. I am extremely visual so this was just what I needed for my review. Thank you so much and very warm wishes from Australia! :)
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely love love love love it...where were u the whole semester. I'm taking A&P and studying for finals. This video was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much... God bless u... once again THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU :)
I love psychology. If you EVER have time just to chat about it, please message me. (I'm going to major in it. I'm currentlly a senior at a High School, taking a college freshmen psych. course) I'm interested in ALL parts and ANY veiw. Morelly the cognitive theory. Your video REALLY helped, thank you. Its something I'll remeber the rest of my life, I'm sure.
Oh my... I am taking Summer II A&P and HELLO super fast course! I have two exams (lab n lecture) day after tomorrow. I feel so much more confident that I will do well! (so I hope!) THX!
LOL i love it. kinda goofy but that's exactly how i teach myself! and it works because i'm a visual thinker. i can't tell u how much i appreciate ur dedication to teaching. looks like it's helped a lot of us psyc students!
Hello! Thank you for your helpful videos! I was just wondering if you could help me with a question. What part(s) of the brain controls your sleep and what are the steps that the brain goes through to make you sleep. Thank you!
I busted out laughing at 6:30-6:37 because right after he talks about sex drives, he split the apart the llamas and gave this look like "no sex for you llamas" hahaha
This vid is helping me soo much. lol && I remember hippocampus as "YOU WOULD *REMEMBER* IF YOU SAW A HIPPO ON CAMPUS :) lol BEAST! && yeah the llama one was sketchy lol better off just remembering it w.o the use od a mnemonic
This is getting my mind kinda mixed up..The explanations are simple and easy to follow though. ^^ So I'll just write the info down. (since I don't have to know these things yet in like 4 years I've got no books...)
You are so adorable! This is laugh-out-loud funny and useful! I'm going to post your vid to my A&P class' group on Facebook! They'll love this! Thanks! [Our group name is: "Anatomy and Physiology I (aka hell)."]
