There's just something cinematic and lore fitting for Gideon to walk away slowly and watch as his allies explode in Firey deaths, only for him to walk back in to steal the kill. He did want to stand at the top himself, after all.

Not to be that guy...but he didn't hit Hoarah Loux with Comet Azur even once. He used it then immediately missed as he was mid jump. What he did hit him with was the regular Comet spell which he tends to spam back to back. And yes, I am aware this is totally an "Um actually..." moment that doesn't actually matter.

So... Gideon just needed to convince everyone in the roundtable hold to fight besides him and then kill the survivors after they beat the elden beast (and not piss off Malenia or Placi)

Was glad to see Gideon getting his comeuppance against Malenia and Placidusax. Letting everybody else run in and get killed and he stands back and gets all the glory by spamming the strongest spell with one hand and strongest incantation with the other. Great video!!!

This video really show two things. First, that the roundtable is made from really powerful warriors, and Gideon being himself, a guy that throws his tools in front and stays behind. And no, he doesn't do all thework; the Blood Knight for example, also did a lot.

Gideon has no allies, he only has disposable tools to achieve his goals. This video shows that if he would have managed everyone in the hold to work "with" him as he does with ensha, he could very well have been the new Elden Lord.

I just thought about a third ancestor spirit version. Like with astel. Way more life. A crazy good attack and way more damage in general. That would be so cool. Like 'infinite ancestor spirit'
