Yea cuz they’re finally not over running him. Last year they had him running the 60 and long jumping, finally they’re just letting him focus on one event
@@Tuber4713 every year he cut down races and running him running tight is what he does when he's in a fight. He's been 20.3 because he breaks his form when he runs against hard competition. But if you want to see him at his best let him be able to get away and get in front of the pack and he will put a show on.
@@HEAVYCHEVY409 well if he can’t run fast when he has to actually see people in a race then he’ll never cut it on the big stage. Can’t always rely on being put in the outside lane. Dude has to learn how to actually race against people
@@sams.358 He definitely looking to take another tenth off his outdoor 200 PR if he stays in this kind off form. 100m I can see him going low 9.9 or better.
Wow... was not expecting THAT?!? I guess he's been holding back a bit saving it for the final.... maybe he has learned from past seasons.? I'd like to see him continue this come outside season.... when he does THAT, then I'll be a believer. Not that 19.92 OUTDOORS isn't Smokin.... just like to see more consistency in the Outdoor season. Well done ....👍👍🔥
@@weedermann lol... he'd LOSE to all of the dude's you just mentioned. We're talking Collegiate here... Those guys are top of the World in the 200m.... Boling is nowhere near that level rn.
If Boling could just keep his form, like how he ran in this race, he would be almost unbeatable in college. Can’t wait to see Boling progress with pro level coaching around him once he goes pro
Not to be critical Matthew's transition to professional hasn't been the easiest hope he breaks out this season he has the potential. It would be sad if ended up like Asafa Powell
Asafa Powell was and is a major success. He’s just always compared to Bolt. But I get what you mean. I too hope Boling doesn’t let nerves stop him from fulfilling his full potential.
The main thing I don't like about these track events is how they give the better runners even more of an advantage with their lane assignments. All of the top runners indoors get that outer lane, and outdoors they are slotted in the middle lanes. When you are talking hundredths of a second between Gold and Silver, that is a big deal.
Great job Boling! Redemption at last. His indoor openers this yr has been so so. I really think for the next level, boling should concentrate on 400m and long jump. Too much depth within the 100 and 200 ranks to make an impact…
He did run a high school national record in the 100m let’s not forget. I do think the 400 may be good for him as a pro, but let’s see what he can do in the outdoor 200 this spring.
What does that have to do with a 20yr old kid that just won (another) National Championship? He won't hit mental maturity until around 26yrs old and physical maturity around age 29... a lot of growing left to do.
Academically Boling's a senior at UGA.NCAA eligibility wise he's only a junior because of the ripple effects of the COVID-19 biological weapon attack world release.I don't think after Boling receives his diploma that he'll elect to use the remainder of his eligibility because I'm guessing he's already receiving pro contract offers but he still technically has eligibility left even after this spring that's upon us within days.
I'm guessing you haven't ran indoors before. Inside lanes are the worst because the tight turns make it so you have to work extra hard to make up for all the lost energy from centripetal forces. This is why the top times usually come out of lanes 5 and 6. If he was given lane 3 he probably would have ran 20.4, lane 6 was a blessing
@@efisgpr Sub optimal? How so? From a physics standpoint lane 6 is the best. I'd take that lane all day but I could understand wanting to be in lane 5 so you can chase. Either way he ran a great race.
nothing, try running in lane 3 on a banked track. Its pretty brutal, id say he did the best he could but its just really hard. Outdoors will be better for him
Lance got the LANE 3 curse.I'm sure he and Matt have joked about that but it's very unfortunate because Lance too is a great multiple event sprinter.Lang is also a superb athlete.
He's human. He's American. He's not African. He's not European. He's not anything other than a "hard working, talented young man trying to make the most of what he has". Pure white - what the hell is that? I saw that at the paint store once!
