Nobody kills their parents so brutally over an inheritance. Those parents wronged these two and I don't think we will ever understand how bad that situation was. It's too bad that nobody wanted to have that talk in 1990.
Beautiful to see their family supporting them and fighting for them after all these years❤I'm keeping them in my thoughts and heart and hoping they'll be home by Thanksgiving. They deserve healing and safety
I remember when it all happened. I, like so many other people assumed that they killed their parents for money. All these years later and this truth is finally coming out. They should be freed immediately. Justice delayed is justice denied.
They were children when they were abused but so many people concentrate on their sex as males instead of their age. They were children abused by the same people who should have protected them the most!
They might have hated the monsters series and while it did somewhat vilify them the series genuinely is one of the main reasons they will likely get out.
I’m going to agree and disagree. They already had a ton of support before the series. New evidence were presented and being reviewed since last year. Yes the series got more eyes on the case but it also harmed the case as people are believing the series to be factual and not something made for TV. So more people are against their release and or spreading false information about the case and aren’t doing the research.
I don't this Ryan Murphy and Monsters portrayed them as villians. It showed what the general concensus was at the time. The scene with the brothers in the shower...THAT WAS A FIGMENT OF DOMINICK DUNN'S IMAGINATION! All the scenes with them looking like spoiled brats were someone's opinion! I think when they really watch it, they''ll see that. There is no way millions of people watched that and thought they were villians...especially considering all the press since and this move by the DA.
@@gimmeshooz Wrong. People are seeing them as villains because of the series. These reactors just got called out for believing the series over the documentaries and saying they should stay in prison because of what Ryan portrayed in the TV series. Laughing at their abuse.
Those boys had EVERY REASON to do what they did. I consider it self defense, those kids were horribly abused their entire lives and deserve to live a happy life without the worlds worst parents. I sincerely hope that the parents are in a very warm place 😢 just so awful what they did to their own children 😢 💔 l pray they are released.
@@MuirmaidenThey were grown men living with their parents. They were unaccomplished, spoiled, entitled and killed their parents because it was time for them to go. Period!
@@anitaneal1779 Erik has only graduated from high school a few months before. Abuse changes the way the brain develops and they were emotionally stunted. There is zero evidence that was motivated by greed, the prosecution was never able to prove that
You know what..... Release them. I didnt care to listen to their story for many years and now that im barely understanding the facts.... i believe them + they didnt get a fair trial.
If they wanted to kill their parents for inheritance, they would have NOT fired shot guns repeatedly on a quiet afternoon in a quiet neighborhood, or pick up the bullet casings. Yes they went to the movies in order to plot out an alibi, most likely due to a sudden realization after the shock dissipated. What they would have done is orchestrate it in such a way there wouldn’t be any clues, they probably would have muffled the sounds of the shotguns, and the list goes on. Or they would have made their lives easier and poison their parents- which shows pre orchestration: this was not that because it was so haphazard. This was a crime of passion, their emotions were on an all time high. Jose was an abuser, so was the mom. She would repeatedly expose herself to her children and play it off as closeness. She was sick as her demented husband. Honestly growing up in all of that, it’s a miracle that they took so long to snap. Their lives were changing, lyle had plans of starting a family and erik wanted to go off to college. Jose didn’t want that, they realised that they were trapped and knowing the true monsters that their parents were, they took their threat seriously. I believe with all my heart that Jose’s threat to them advising them to not reveal everything to the media was a real one. If they had not done what they did, they would have just succumbed to suicide, or their parents were gonna drive them to their grave. People that say that the parents were never able to tell their side, I must ask what side? They would have just deflected and invalidate everything. That gentleman who came forward to say he was also abused, do you guys think that a man with such sick perversions would molest a stranger and not his two sons? Let’s not forget what their early medical records showed- sings of sexual abuse. Everything is pointing towards their favor now and I am glad. May they truly be free after all of this.
For the rude biased individuals that still think they should stay in prison for life, if even the families want these brothers back home I say let them out. Most killers' family members dont forgive them. Lyle and Erik dont have sociopathic tendencies. Sociopaths/psychopaths dont confess to their therapists that they killed someone. These brothers couldnt live with themselves. They showed empathy and to this day what theyve done with their time in prison is graduate with a degree, help others heal and create programs and social health groups. These brothers were terrorized and bullied in court back then. Weren't given a fair 2nd trial. There is new found evidence that proves their molestation as children. (Mind you, they only did life because the male jurors thought they lied about their rape. Not because they killed their parents but because they think they pushed out fake tears in court) Please right this wrong and give them grace. Its not like jobs are gonna want them when they get out. Stop acting like they're going to kill again if they get out. They have proven that theyre not a threat to society and they have paid their debt.
@@cherrytwizzler you're right I mistyped. It was the younger brother in the beginning and then the therapist brought Lyle in and asked him if Erik was telling the truth and lyle said yes so Dr. Oziel (their therapist) took out a tape recorder and said "great now say you killed your parents into this recorder"
Estou acompanhando esse caso desde o Brasil 🇧🇷. A justiça não deve ser apenas racional. Existe muito sofrimento envolvido na história desses meninos agora homens. Eu oro por eles e gostaria de ve-los livres.
It’s so funny how get a soft society is the only way these two got out they should of used the info back then but our world was stronger back then hope they get got
@kc006 in California, a law was passed a few years ago. If you are under the age of 26 and commit a crime, you are eligible for parole after so many years. I don't know how many years exactly. But the brothers do qualify due to the age they committed the murders. That being said, if a judge approves and the brothers get resentence they are released.
@@rubbersoulgirl84 Yes I agree with you. Its just that, to me, the judge shoul leave it the way it is. And my question is this, why did they kill their mother??? I understand what you are saying, you're right.
@@kc006 I agree with you. But many people are torn including the Menendez family. Not all of the btothers family agrees about releasing them from prison. I just hope the best decision is made.
Right. Abused or not, all they had to do was leave. They could have told the police what was going on but instead they resorted to killing their parents.
I like how it's been years and years and years and all of a sudden these people are acting like they've been missed and were always innocent...where were you guys before netflix dropped the show?
There has been renewed interest in the case for years. The DA has been reviewing the case for over a year. Ryan Murphy has nothing to do with this. The full first trial is available to watch online and it's obvious that they were abused and didn't see another way out at the time.
@@Muirmaiden thank you for clarifying but I still believe we are just obsessed with serial killers in crime which isn't an opinion the studies show in 2023 and 4 that crime takes up most of our attention...and when you compound that with Kim Kardashian it just seems like A LOT OF ATTENTION that's being sought out, why?
Monster wasn't a good name for the brothers, maybe the dad. I would love to meet erik and Lyle I'm a mother of a 49 yr old and a 30 yr old I just want to give them a 🫂. A parent love is important ❤️ know one knows the state of mind these boys were in. So let them be free from behind bars they will never be free as far as what happened 💯 prayer 🙏 are in place. 😅
Kelly, do you have NO SYMPATHY OR EMPATHY for sexual abuse of CHILDEREN? They GREW UP in a very toxic home with fear, pain and torment from their PARENTS! The very ones who should have nurtured and protected them. What if it was YOU, ABUSED BY YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER for your whole childhood? And to make it finally STOP, no other help around, you killed them? Do you realize they had NO PERSON to help, no other place to go? Desperation gives desperate measures and being young and isolated and inexperienced, they made a bad choice. They've PAID for it now. Don't be HEARTLESS. Imagine if it were you, or your children, or baby cousins or anyone 8 years old and their DAD holding his little face and ramming his c**k down his throat and bruising his soft palette and uvula. Doctor visit proof. Do you LIKE that picture? Because that's what Jose did to his OWN SON'S and worse. Work on KINDNESS. You have a serious problem......
@@christopher3386 If people didn't commit abuse, victims killing their abusers would not happen. That's the point. The brothers have been in prison since 1990. Even if they had been convicted of manslaughter, they still would have served a lengthy prison term. They didn't get away with it, they weren't acquitted, they have been punished.
Maybe not, but what kind of parents does that to their children? Imagine growing up suffering the same from your parents. They chose to end it and be free. Murder is definitely not a good thing. But the amount of damage SA does is massive. It started at the ages of 6yrs old. Fear and anger are never a good cocktail mix. But they have paid 35yrs. I think that's actually too much considering what they lived through.
Psychopaths don't confess to their therapists that they killed their parents. Psychopaths don't feel guilt at all. You have to lack empathy yourself if you think they need to stay in prison any longer.
@@MoAnn81 they knew cops, judge, jury and the people would say all the things that they ended up saying in court about them, making up their mind of why they killed their parents. Assume that they were wealthy spoiled brats that killed for money and that's exactly what people did to those boys.
@@thruthemotions 🤣🤣🤣 You don't know me btch, I got more empathy than you think . These 2 killers needs to stay in prison.Nothing will justified brutally killing your parents .These 2 will be in External Hell.
You clearly have not watched the first trial. Many family members testified on the brothers' behalf. There has been renewed interest in the case began several years ago. A habeas corpus petition was filed in the spring of 2023 and the DA has been reviewing the case since then
They saw therapist after they murdered him. He abused them so much mentally that he wouldn't let them go to Stanford. He was forcing them to attend UCLA and live with him so he could keep raping them.
Isn't this the same family that came out AGAINST the netflix show? And now suddenly with all this renewed interest, they're pretending like it had nothing to do with the show?
@@boogerlui The renewed interest began years ago, and the DA has been reviewing the case since last year. Ryan Murphy did not consult the brothers or their family members and 95% of the miniseries is inaccurate. That's what the family was upset about.
If they are released, they will need a place of their own to live in and be gradually introduced into society. The fear is that they may become over whelmed by the media attention and act out. I do believe they were victims of sexual abuse, and I would like to see them released from prison even though they did kill their parents.
I was watching live from Australia🇦🇺🥹💖 and ahh I am so happy and grateful for the wise decision made👏✨they are finally starting to open their hearts and eyes to the truth!
