That particular lock is vulnerable to a reverse picking attack where you push everything as high as it will go, apply heavy tension, then slowly remove tension with pulsing and the top pins will all fall into place and the core will rotate a little which tells you you're on the side pins. This works due to a few design flaws, mainly the shape of the gin spools and the very weak springs. I found this and several other vulnerabilities myself, but then found out they had already been found by the community a few years ago haha: assamow.com/CX5MowV2.1.pdf

Great explanation of this method, I had never thought of using 2 TOK wrenches to rotate and counter rotate the plug! 😁🥚

Not sure about the mastering it bit.🤣🤣 rather than 2 tensioners it can be easier to get one that is a tight fit. This allows for better control. Excellent video, but as you say, this is still a very difficult technique. Good luck to all.👍🏼👍🏼

Hey thanks dude. However I disagree about the tensioners. One single tensioner that fits well is not as good as two tensioners. With two tensioners you put opposite pressure on each, which mean you have greater control on the plug rotation.

@@Joemenix but he seems to be pressing both of them forward, instead of one forward and one backwards. Is the second one i mentioned the correct way of doing it? Also how do i confirm that the lock has a spring sidebar? Because it pushes the key backwards if i release tension? Sorry for the long comment, i hope you will enlighten me xD

Nice explanation. Could you just use one tight-fitting wrench instead of two?

Two gives total control

Can't you simply push on the pin in twisting the pick in the opposite direction of the tensioner and then release gradually the tension to let the core turn slowly?
@Joemenix
@Joemenix 5 лет назад
I tried. It is easier to use two tensioners.

How do you avoid oversettng the pin once it moves past the countermilling? Do you still get normal feedback (e.g. a click) when it sets even though you have the core partly counter-rotated at that point?
@Joemenix
@Joemenix 5 лет назад
You can't overset it because the key pin is larger that the tip of the gin. To overset you would need to counterotate the plug wayyy too far, which will drop all the other pins.
