I've always been intimidated to make menudo because no one can make it better than my father in law. But wow this look so simplified! Thank you so much!👍❤
I clean my tripe with water, white vinegar and a cup of salt. I soak it for about 30 minutes and then rinse really well. I find it comes the cleanest that way. This recipe came out great!
Definitely followed your other recipe from scratch, and it came out with perfection! Now I will be making it with this quick recipe! And I can’t wait to try it
Your recipes are making me famous!.........with my family! Thank you so much!.... meaning this in a good way " my family is happy with the meals I prepare for them" I do share your videos
Are you from Texas Angelica? I’m from San Antonio Texas and we grew up with this exact style. I really appreciate how easy you make this recipe. Looks simply delicious.
First time making menudo using your recipe!! I’m so excited can’t wait to see how it turns out! I am a newbie at making these Mexican dishes and I hope it goes well. We love menudo in my house! Also I’m a new subscriber! 😁❤️ Update!! It turned out soo good!! My family loved it !! Thank you so much!!😊
Thank youuuuu so much! I made this but I had the menudo seasoning pack and Why...I almost burnt it up cause I didn't turn the temp down the final recipe. I could not wait to eat...so I ate some nachos while it was cooking! Lol I WAS HUNGRY! But all in all it was SLAMMIN JAMMIN! Thank you again!!!
Yummy! Miss my Mom’s cooking! Am now old, and my sweet husband won’t try it, so I enjoy it at Las Cruces Mexican Restaurant in the Hill Country of Texas.
Delicioso 😋 Menudo is my favorite. This is exactly how I make it! With the menudo mix spices. It’s soooooo convenient and super easy! And like you say just as delicious 😋 👍🏼
Thank you, thank you, thank you Chula!!!!! I've told you before. I've always been nervous about trying traditional recipes with out my dad. You spelled it out so easy. I'm so excited to make it on my own. Thank you 😘❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yum!! Everybody went to grandma's on Sundays for Menudo from Fall to Summer when we would switch to Santa Maria tri tip on all-wood barbecue. Good times!! I miss my grandma even though she's been gone 30 years♡
Sweat heart I cant thank you enough for this recipe...my family and I LOVED this...it was delicious!! I have looked for so long for a quick easy Menudo Recipe..all others fall way short of yours..yum yum...
Thumbs up for another good video. The menudo, though... I'm an adventurous eater and have tried menudo exactly twice. Both times at different places and both places recommended by different Mexican friends. I have to say that the menudo tasted pretty much the same both times. But lawdy!!! I just cannot do tripas or hominy!
We love it eating it for years in Texas. Going back years ago there was a place that every Sunday we could bring our own pot. They would fill to the desired amount and then charge. Good old days in Dallas Tx. Think it was earlier Dallas Tortilla Factory.
Thank you so much for your easy menudo recipe.... My buddy's birthday is coming up, and I want to surprise him with this dish. Because he loves menudo being in a Hispanic family. Wish me luck, first time.
I'm Korean and I understand why you use the name gochujang mama I use gochujang for everything lol my favorite Mexican dishes are enchiladas, tamales, and menudo thanks for the upload 👍👍
I just subscribed to your channel and absolutely cant wait to try the recipe. Your video is great....You explain well, demonstrate and write down ingredients as well as instructions. Thank you so much!
The collagen from the pig or cow foot makes a rich full bodied broth. Sooooo good tasting and good for the body! My local taqueria has a mother broth. They add water and meats to replenish what they’ve sold keeping the pot full day after day. Nice thick broth does a body good. With tortillas of course.
I have never tried menudo before, It looks tasty. I don't mind tripe actually, I'm of iialian background and my mother used to make tripe in broth and casseroles for us. My siblings hated it but I liked it.
Looks delicious! Its sorta how I learned to do it here in Texas. I'm actually from near Corpus Christi. You just started it differently but I think I may try it. I also add pig feet when my children aren't watching...lol. I have to make it every 2 weeks. I HAVE to. My son. If you can believe this but my son has epilepsy and the mornings were the worse but when I would give him a bowl in the morning before school his seizures ended faster. Weird I know but it works.
I have been craving menudo. I never ate menudo until I was in my 50’s (67 now). First ate it at the Kickapoo Casino in Eagle Pass. I have made it 4-5 times, but going to fix it next week. I love it with Serrano peppers.
Im not sure how its cooked at a casino, texas is a big state, so different areas have different variants, however, here in rgv tx, menudo is sold during the weekends in tortillerias, as close to homemade as you can get, the lines are long and its not guarantee youll be able to purchase some ones its your turn. Same qith barbacoa and carnitas.
Every estate in Mexico the cooking is different I was born in michoacan mexico and I just want add that I like my menudo with pata and nervio cows feet and also pigs feet aka patas de puerco . I been watching videos from RU-vid and in other countries they call the menudo caldo de hueso . More flavor with the hueso thank you for sharing ur recipe I love menudo
Our Mom would always demand my Dad to make his menudo outside of the kitchen....behind the shed in the back yard. Just as well, I get her point (homemade menudo fresh from the barn yard) smells, not so pretty good, and gives the cook's company together to enjoy many cold frosty beverages in the shade of pecan trees. . Great easy video, thanks....The trick here is to clean the panza as well as you can. That's where the smell of barn yard comes from.
I always have Jaunita's Menudo in my pantry! Living alone it would take me forever to go thru your wonderful recipe! Unfortunately, my family cannot get past the tripe. I haven't seen the spice packet you referred to, but I will continue to look.
