Hello... Nice tutorial! Congratulations 👏 Regarding the fluid you used... Can you please tell if there is any specification or brand that is more suitable about the fluid you used? Thank you 👍
Hey, i know it's been a year, but have you gotten a anwser to what kind of fluid is neeeded? searching for that myself right now and seems like everyone has a diffrent solution
@reggio ferrutti I'm also thinking about trying to change the brushes first. I read about another problem-pump in a Renault, that its important to have the connector wires big enough to handle the current. So carbon brushes from starters should be used, and "cut" in the right size... I haven't tried it, but I think I will give it a try...
Please help. I replaced the servo pump. and now when I start the car it pump works for 5 seconds and stops working. and so every time I turn off the car and turn it on again, it works for 5 seconds and then stops working. should the air be removed from the servo hub and do you know why it stops working?
Any idea what wrong when the servo stops working and the battery light gets turned on? I have tried to remove the pump and put power to it and it works.
The power steering takes signal from the alternator, if it stops charging the battery warning light comes on the power steering stops. You need to check the alternator charging.
@@forrera168 I think the generator is charging because it is brand new and if I disconnect the battery when the car is running, the car will continue to run. I'm totally confused
Disconnect the battery, use a flat screw driver to pry the metal with the nut out of it's holder, then you can use 2 spanners, 13 and 11 to undo the nut without breaking the wire.
Hello I'm looking at buying a 2003 a class a180 has power steering that has stopped working it has 150000km what other common faults do these cars have?
Several reasons can cause the steering to get heavy, and non of them has anything to do with 20 seconds. Can you replicate the fault, does it have a pattern, like steering full lock, reversing etc?
A lovely video but wish you gave a bit more info as to what you are removing & their purpose...that woukd really help for starters like me...have a a160 classic w168...pump not working but i was told the entire rack n pin has to be removed to replace the pump...i am confused cuz now i see your vid
Hi, the pump is separate from the rack, as you can see in the video. It's quite strait forward but you'll need some "better" tools to make the job easy.
Hi nice video 👍 Will with my servopump tomorrow. Im wondering about the whining noice when you start your engine. I have the same noice in my w168. Is it the waterpump? I have changeed generator, tension wheel, 2 guide wheels but still the whining noice
I have a clase w168 pump ps noise,,, but not influence to stering,my stering constant light in weight... Can you help me and tell me what the problem to my pump stering???
I didn't get a chance to make that video but it's quite simple. Wiggle the 13mm nut, with cables attached, then pull it with a pair of pliers or molegrip. You'll find a 11mm nut at the bottom, then you use 13mm spanner and 11mm spanner to undo the nut.
