Owned the car for 6 years now, planning on owning for life. Costs at first are expensive but thanks to sites/companies like FCPEuro and Arnott, once you repair something on this car once, parts are free for life, even consumable parts like brakes and rotors. Last summer one of my front suspension struts failed so I paid $5k in parts and $2k labor to replace every suspension component including the compressor. BUT, for the rest of my ownership if suspension ever fails again parts are free. Idk, it’s more expensive than a Camry or Lexus but 100x better than any BMW or Audi... or even newer Mercedes. M156, M113, M113k, and M159 were the best motors AMG ever built. If you have your mind set on an AMG of this era, I say go for it! They’re getting harder and harder to find in good condition and after this, it’s just tiny turbos and electric motors moving forward. Enjoy it while you still can for cheap. ** I’ll make a maintenance cost video once I get a break from dental school. Sarai Garage thanks for the info brother, didn’t know about that company I’ll have to write that down in case I ever pull the trigger on one of these. Between a 2008 cls63 a c63(don’t wanna deal with head bolt issue) or a e55 or e63 (w211) era but we will see I def love the look and big body of the cls though just have to prepare for a big bill when something goes out to get that initial fix done

@@MrBrightSide784 Join some AMG Facebook groups and it’ll help a lot! Head bolts are an issue yes, but honestly most cars have had it done by now. If not, it’s still better than the reoccurring rod bearing/ VANOS issues in BMW’s of the time 😅 Problems are over blown on the internet. The engines are solid. Only real problem I’m having is rubber seals (and rubber air suspension) failing bc rubber parts are drying out with age. Which is acceptable on a 13 year old car. Both the W219 and W211 are timeless in my opinion. Can’t go wrong with either!! Take your time finding the right car. Don’t rush into a beaten down one or you’ll hate it. I wish you the best!! 🙏🏾🙌🏾
