Problem with this car was when you hit button to open convertible top windows will move down than stop & nothing else work except all windows. top latch does not even move to open position
I work on a lots of Mercedes convertible top most of time are switch are faulty sometimes hydraulic I got 1 ECU problem but never run in to wiring harness. I hope you got the right tool to work on this type of car.
I've just walked away from buying a 2010 CDI 250 version , after watching a series of these videos , and add the issues with DPF , twin turbos , egr etc etc etc , Im fighting for my deposit back now .......
Thanks for the lecture. I have a E350 2014 cabriolet that the windows won't auto wind up after completely closing or opening roof top. What could be be the issue?
Hello, Loved your video, you obviously know your trade.. I have a 2011 E350 and my top is sporatic. I have to play with it and sometimes need to help pull on parts to get them to work as it stops. lately, it has been sticking at the 1st step of lowering it and I kept reversing the switch, hoping to get it to get the back to fully open. I think I blew the fuse. Can you advise where that fuse or fuses are for the top? I've looked online and have gone thru Fuse charts but haven't seen which one or ones it is.
Hi, did you ever get this fixed have same problem on my 2011 E200 - windows go down but nothing else - again like you I try replacing a fuse but cant find which one controls the roof - thanks
That was a beautiful display of how the top works however, you didn’t tell what you found to make the repair. I am assuming that a micro switch had failed or you had a broken wire. Which was it?
I had a lot of videos on this car & how to test the switches and others but one of the apprentices reformat the SD card on the camera & wiped out a lot of my diagnostic videos on this Mercedes Problem was not the switches or pump It was the control unit
Oh and wait til the hoses burst due to the route they take from front to back terrible design and they last until the warranty runs out , do your research before buying any Mercedes ,BMW ,and VAG group cars ......all the best from West Yorks UK .
