Yes the Airmatic air suspension is one of the best options you can get on the E-Class, or any Mercedes for that matter!

The E220d, especially when you never miss a service is very reliable. With not pushing the car around, you will also get great fuel economy. Electronics are not a common problem on the W213, but still try everything out. The engine is reliable, no problems there. The 9G-Tronic transmission in the W213 is also reliable. In the first year when it came out in the W212, it had some minor flaws. But in the W213 they got rid of them. Lexus is also a good brand, but the Hybrid drivetrain will probably lead to more fuel consumption. Also as you mentioned the boot capacity is a lot smaller. But in all aspects the W213 is just better. The E-Class is also worth more when reselling. The W213 is in my opinion the best in its segment. It does everything right. You are 100% right about how the E-Class will sell much much easier than the IS300h (even if it did come with a 640ltr boot) because high mileage hybrids are extremely hard to sell, even if the hybrid battery is in good condition. Germany is a great examply of these e220d's being used as taxi's what is your opinion on the BMW 520d and the Audi A6 2ltr diesel (both automatic) with regards to reliability vs the e220d

@@AB-dr8wq the 520d is also pretty good, but the E220d stands out with its comfort and overall desirability. But in my opinion both are leading the segment. The A6 however has the smoothness of the TDI engine, but the transmission is bad. The s-tronic is very slow to respond en can feel a bit jerky. If it comes to handling, a big Audi with only front wheel drive is always a bad choice. For the type of driving you want to do, the E220d is perfect. It handles surprisingly great and it offers comfort and luxury. The 520d offers those things also, but slightly less and makes up with its added dynamics and more responsive 8-speed auto. Reselling the 520d will be less profitable, because they do depreciate more. Overall I still think the E220d is the superior one in its class.

Both the new diesel and gasoline engines of Mercedes are very reliable in general. In some rare cases the E300 with the 2.0L can have piston damage and the costs are expensive to repair this ofcourse. It is better to get an E200 with the same engine and less power or an E400 is you need more power. The diesel engines are reliable, but sometime the parts among the engine for emission regulations can malfunction and give errors, like the check engine light. If you drive a lot of miles/kilometers, I mean like 50000+ kilometers(30000+ miles) I recommend a diesel, but if it is much less a gasoline is all you need.

I just found a good condition Mercedes, with a brilliant interior but it is a Diesel engine and as it is rare I was thinking if it is worth or not to buy diesel. And what would be pros and cons for it. It is the 2017 model E220

If you travel with 5 people for long distances, this is a perfect car. If you drive with less than 5. People, the A class is enough. A class is more fuel efficient and cheaper overall costs. But if you can afford it, the E Class is better offourse

@@faithonwheels53 but for some reason on auto trader e class is way cheaper than the a class and I mainly travel on my own or should I get an doudi tt?

@@Whiponized those must be high mileage diesel versions of the E Class. I assume you want a petrol one. The TT in base form is front wheel drive like the A Class. Looks sporty but a basic TT, without Quattro is not very exciting. The A Class is more practical compared to the TT. The E Class is way above the TT and A Class in materials. However the multimedia system of the A Class is more advanced compared to the TT and E Class. If you can afford the additional costs of insurance and taxes get the E Class. Otherwise I recommend the A Class.
