I know this is 6 years old video 😂 but it still might help someone out there. So: an easy and clean way to get to those wires without having to breake the weld in the retaining washer is just to push it out from the behind.. on the back of the gear shaft you'll find a hole.. just use a narrow and long punch/pin chisel to push out the shaft, in that way you can completely remove the gear and have full access to the wiring.. Hi Very good video. Just a hint :-) you don’t have to grind the retainer which you show in min 2:15. you can knock out the bolt/pin from the backside. I’m sorry, if my explanation is not good, I’m not a native speaker but if you want I can sent you a picture:-)
I wondered about this before also. But you are measuring the idle pot with it also. Once you put voltage on it, the voltage divider works perfectly fine and you get your 0-5V reading, or whatever voltage you put on it.
Hi. Thanks for your efforts and helpful videos. I have c200 1996 model. It was great. Last week I sent it to paint shop. When i received it after painting. It did not start right away like usual it took some tries and needed the pedal to be pressed. Then it ran with very low rpm and when engaging tge the gears rpm was going to 100_200 rpm then sets at 500rpm with shaking engine and very low rpm when idling . I thought throttle body needs cleaning so i did clean it with crc throttle body cleaner. while starting there is no change. But when warm up the car idles ar 1000_1100 rpm and when engaging gear rpm drops to 700rpm. My acrion was to dismantle the throttle body from its place but the cable i kept connected to the socket and opend the throttle body black cover and measured the voltages on the potentiometer were as expected. But when measuring between the motor terminals i read zero volt. But between any motor terminal and the body the voltage veries from 0.5 volt to 2 volts according to the butterfly position which i was moving by my hand. Please help how to proceed from here. I noticed that butterfly should move a little to reduce the air flow when warm but it is not happening. Please help. And thanks in advance

i also have this fully mechanical throttle body, no MAF but PMS. I think my whole wiring harness suffers from brittle isolation. I experience very low power overall and sometimes the car won't accelerate at all, except you push the gas pedal all the way down. No other issues. Do you think renewing my throttle body wiring could be of help?
c200 1994 wont stay idle changed the throttle body , mass air flow sensor , fuel pump , spark plugs , cam sensor nothing worked what might be the problem
Hi I have 1994 c220 and its throttle body is failure when i start the car its rough rpm and its giving black smoke from my exhaust there is no clicking sound from throttle body when i switch on my car and the insulation is badly destroyed of the throttle body wires
Hi Victor,Thanks for your helpful videos.My ETA is the same and I'think the TPS behaviour is very strange.Have you measured other of this type that are new and have the same strange non-linear measured values(first rising resistance,after that falling)?Is it possible to be due to worn graphite tracks or bad contact with them? Hi there, I have a question pal, I own a Mercedes c 220 cdi 2005, when I start the car I get to go and it starts choking on it self, after that it will only rev up to 3000 rpms and the check engine light is illuminated on the board, when i scanned it on the computer it showed throttle position, I'm really desperate I would like to know what should I do, thanks in advance
How the hell do I unplug it -_- I did it once (when changing my harness) but I removed the intake too and then unplugged it and when plugging I had the intake on, and was doing it by feel and my hands were scratched and blue after that...
