My new to me 2012 Mercedes CLS550! Join me on my journey with this amazing car as I fix a few issues and just give my own opinion about this gorgeous 4 door “coupe”!!!
Well, of course you can’t compare the CLS with an E350…it’s apple and oranges…the E550 has the same motor…suspension etc…just E class just has more interior room, especially in the back. The scroll and blower motor are quite common…need to get both done for mine. ..blower motor squeak is really annoying but not expensive thankfully
My 2014 ML350 needed a new 2k computer at 100k miles....The gas gauge broke as well as the radar for the blind spot detection. After 100k miles you need to budget 5-15k for repairs...Better off selling around 80k-90k miles is what i learned...
So what about the people who have them after 90k miles and everything good? I find it so funny people always seem to know when a car is going to break. My friend pick up a brand new cls. 2 months in. It wouldn't start. Mercedes just found the issue. Point being said. I have own mulitple luxury cars. I maintain them. And things still go wrong. Its a machine. I have known people who treat them bad and the thing went without problems. Lol
Hey man , I’m looking at one here in Toronto , a 2012 with 40 ,000 miles . Have you had any concerns with the car ? Any issues with the airmatic system?
Hey Ali, no concerns thus far. As far as the airmatic system is concerned it’s not a bad system. The rear and front struts are easy to replace if you do have an issue with them, the only down side is that the fronts are a lot more expensive then the rear ones to buy. Get a PPI if you’re not very mechanical and not sure what you are looking at.
I just bought the same car you did and I paid 25,000 for mine but I have 120,000 on mine how did you find one was so low miles I’ve been looking all over where I’m at man congrats
@@kristianlucaj9130 thanks for the replay Kristian , it says 5 sec 0-60 , I think it’s very underrated , but I don’t find any 0-60 acceleration video , I do find some videos people say it feels way faster than 5 sec , how do you feel the acceleration .
Mine has been a daily driver for nearly a year since i bought it and that is a decision I now regret. He will understand when it gets into the 100k mi range.
@@pouremilee you sound dejected, have you had to dig into your pockets for unforeseen repairs? Not many can buy a car like this for occasional use or worry about breakdown every time you get behind the wheel. Why does this make still remain the 'average Joe's' dream car???
