The cruise control control unit on the Mercedes models R107 and W126 is often the reason for the failure of the cruise control system. This video shows which components on the control unit's circuit board need to be replaced. Due to age, the electrolytic capacitors in the cruise control control unit fail. The 5 different electrolytic capacitors can be replaced relatively easily. Unsolder the old electrolytic capacitors on the circuit board and replace them with new ones. Mercedes SL and S-Class

Hi, As I bought my 380SL 9 months ago, the tempomat was already dysfunctional. I have just changed the control unit and it works perfectly. As you said in your video, it is very difficult to reinstall it under the dashboard. Unfortunately I did not take a photo and so it is not so obvious. Do you the opportunity to have one? Many thanks
