For Anthony in MD Second part. Car has leak and motor burned again. All lines in car need to be tested for pressure and vacuum leaks before installing pump back in. www.RestoreYourMercedes.com
The plastic around that bearing is melted, also noticed the motor is somewhat slower in one direction with the same voltage. Replace the motor. And yes, check for leaks before burning motor again.
Problem vakuum pumps, valves, seals have worn out over time. Let the air pass. Most take them off. At that time it was cool with a vacuum mechanism. But not for long. Illness in cold winter, such vacuum pump rubber valves lose their flexibility of function. They let air pass. Features do well in warm weather. Mercedes Audi and other models were like this. Don't have a headache. Disconnect.
Amazing demonstration. I never had any knowledge in this pneumatic system that Mercedes has nor do I have much experience in vehicle mechanics. My question to you sir is if the motor runs too long will it cause the 20 amp fuse to blow or is it because the motor is burnt up and it's heating up more due to the internal friction its shorting? I am working on the 2003 Sl500 with the regular contour seats. I want to learn how to test my system for vacuum and pressure and determine if I have an internal leak. I purchased a motor in hopes to swap the top bits over but it seems the factory bosch unit has a pressure fitted key. I tried to use a soldering iron to pop the key off safely but no luck. I just wanted to test the motor and see if it'd solve my pse issue. Now I want to fix the motor, diagnose leak first and then install. Is there any way we can talk further on this topic for my vehicle. Perhaps, what's app or another platform
when i unlock my w202 c200 the pump still running and also i hear like a leak sounds from the driver's door. but the door lock and opens normally, the problem is that the pump still working when try to open
I have the w202 pse with just 2 air lines, yellow and transparent. The motor works good, but will not switch on when the plug is connected, I can just hear a clicking noise. Any help please?
Hi.Thanks for the video .I have question related to pump on w124 mercedes.I push the remote door open button to open the door. Door open and after short time automatically pump works and close the doors again. Is it pump failure or leaking on the pipes.Remote control is universal which installed 2 years ago.I replaced the remote car lock but no any success.
Old but gold video :) if pump is ok, are you sigesting that changing all hoses and vacum connectors on doors and trunk with new ones may me the best solution? Or maybe it is possi le to find the leak somewhere in the car while using some smoke trick and fix only that?
When pressing "lock buton" ( or unlock trunk) the motor doesn't make any noise. What can it be? Ps: a week back i think happend a short circuit while trying to use the lighter with a compresor ( for presuring the tires). Since then the pump sistem doesnt work ( the locking of the dors, headrest etc)
I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY VACUUM PUMP, IT WORKED ONCE THEN STOPPED WORKING. MY MECHANIC TELLS ME IT'S THE MOTOR. PLEASE TELL ME WHERE I CAN BUY THE NEW MOTOR. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
Hey buddy I have a few questions for you I have 1998 Mercedes Benz c280 and I was wandering where the pump would be located and if you rebuilt them as well
Hi, Can you please tell if a pump is disconnected for some time and then has a new pump fitted - Do you have to wait for a while with the engine running to build up the pressure in the lines so that the pump will operate the various functions - door lock/unlock, boot release, fuel cap, and rear head rests. I have a w210 1997 e230 SEDAN Im in Australia
I know this is old, but for reference - No, this pump runs individually of the engine, and typically not for a long time (less than 15 seconds at most).
Thanks for the videos. They are very helpful. How do you find a leak in one or more of the grey P+ lines all on one air manifold? Do I have to take all the door panels off? where do they go? Look forward to more videos.
Great video. Thank you very much for posting this. I had a question man. I have a 2001 clk55amg w208. And my door lock for the driver side just recently went out and ever since then my PSE does not wind up. Could the actuator be the issue?
Can you tell me a source for a replacement motor? I have a unit I am repairing that has a shattered brush inside the motor, so the motor needs to be replaced.
where are you based. Which country. My motor was burnt and it did some damage to the circuit board. M y pump number 1408002548. It is from my 1994 W140, S320. I did find one from wrecked car. Unfortunately it only had five outlets. IT operates all door,. But it does not operate the two chrome eyelets when the car engages on reverse. What suggestion can you provide...thanks
Unfortunately I do not work on your pump. I stopped rebuilding W220s pumps remotely, only work on them if I have whole car and pump is one of issues needs addressing
What is your contact information ?? I have a 97 E320 I'm trying to restore and have some questions you may be able to help with and possibly if your available do the work on if you don't mind making money !!
