Mercedes e550 convertible 2014 resonator delete ( both ) cold start and slight rev 

u will love every single second u start the car and when u drive around , u dont need to valve it if u dont care about having the car go silent/ quite mode . i only went with valved muffler option cause i some times love the quietness and peace and when i wanna go wild ,, u know the rest :)

@@emazensthanks for the response I was a littler nervous abt doing it but ima cop the ECS tuning valves muffler and valve control kit. I looked online and it said 2.5” fits, my Mobile mech said I’ll have to do some fabrication but we’ll see. And to respond to the valve control; my dad is going to be driving it until he goes overseas in like 2 months, and he is a little picky LOL

@@benkaplan8596 the for sure valved mufflers he will not notice a tin beside cold starts lol very little fabrication to be made very simple and easy to make install , dont forget to post some videos once u done would love to see it too

Yah the same 2.5 " on my setup Or if u go downpipe all the way back go 3" Currently I Own cls550 2013 with different set up Both res removed and muffler delete ( on my cls550 2013)

Buy a C63 and it will indeed sound like that.

the car is out of warranty , and no it wont and not suppose to effect the turbo .. but u need to cut and replace the resonators .

once you remove both ull be happy , but ull end up wanting to be louder then ull remove all with muffler lol . . i have a valved muffler that is open ( straight like a muffler delete )

remove the second resonator , it will make a very nice sound , then after 2 or 3 days i would say i want louder ,,, then remove muffler then ull be happy , and ppl will think you have a cls63 ( louder than cls63 )

Thank you for your answer. I know what you mean, it's like a drug, you want more and more. I live in Germany, everything is forbidden here, my concern is not that it gets too loud live with both resonators🤷🏻‍♂️

It's has cats right after the engine then 1st resonators set then 2nd resonators set then x pipe then mufflers If u make it all straight keeping the cats and remove both resinators only and leave x pipe and muffler it will sound better . But ull end up going back there then remove the x pipe and mufflers then ull b happy .

If u want it loud and sound agressive and mean just like an amg then leave cats and straight all the way and remove mufflers ( or get a valved muffler to switch on and off to make it fully straight or more quiet when u need so )

@@emazens I've had it with out mufflers and drone was unbarrable. i put on aftermaket (leaving resonators) and still drones, putting stock mufflers back on and doing a resonator delete. If your able to get links without RU-vid blocking it or sending it to spam let me know and ill send some photos of how my current exhaust is. Plan on leaving the stock mufflers after its re attached and removing both small resonators and big resonators and leaving primary cats alone.

@ShiroUwUs u want good sound with no drone Then this is ur only best set up for that Remove both resonators and keep x pipe there ( ull loose the loudness a bit ) and oem mufflers and u won't have any drones if the installation is done right , 2nd option would be the same setup except u replace the mufflers to valve controlled one like from valvetronics and ull have zero drone when valves are closed and nice loud noise when open ) and still very minor drone )

@emazens I think the "main" resonators were cut out by previous owner as there is a small exhaust drip comming from it. I guess previous owner removed main resonators (behind the mini ones?) As there is nothing connecting the 2 pipes on they are 2 individual pipes unless the main resonator is further down past the x pipe. Tried posting link to images but didn't let me.

The car has from engine to end ( muffler ) . 1.The first main cats ( with O2 sensor) will give code of removed ( aka cat delete ) if not tuned . After 2. Second cats if removed will not give codes and if removed with resonators and stock muffler it will give a very settle note to the exhaust , very pleasing and not loud 3. Removing 2nd cats and resonators and muffler will make it loud .. lot louder and no codes

@@alexb00007 one of them had mufflers from c63s ( with valves so u can open or close it for straight or silent sound ) i can show u some videos on my s550 coupe it has the same set up except for after market valved mufflers sounds the same if not more aggressive

Also, on the 2nd cat, did you straight pipe that section or just hollow it out? And on the main resonator, is that straight piped or X-pipe? Thanks!!

It wont sound the same for a v8 vs v8 biturbo , however you can get some thing similar depending how loud u want to go , remove both resonators and replace them by a straight pipe ( can also use an x pipe , but will be less loud) and that's a slightly louder step , a much louder step would be also removing the mufflers and replace them by also a straight pipe , that's the cheapest way , Personally I would install a valved muffler to switch on or off from straight pipe to a silent on demand There are tons of videos here with these set up to help you decide a

@Bad_boy002 once u remove the mufflers ( put straight pipe ) then ull enjoy it alot more ( if u don't mind having some drone )

@Bad_boy002 louder yes , better it depends on what u like some love it some don't, but since u are asking then I would probably say u want to be louder a bit at least then yes u will find it better worst case if anything u can always put back the original mufflers back on if u decided it's not some thing u like Personally I would remove them that NA v8 sounds better than the v8 biturbo in my opinion

not annoying at all , it will make u smile and happier for sure hearing the v8 and if you want to hear the turbo whistle then u need to remove the cats but thats a different story

@@khaleddabab6335 these engines are very reliable if well taking care of , having a warranty is a peace of mind i didnt have one i was maintaining it very well , also i dont track it or race everyday ,,

@@emazens I will not race or anything too but I but warranty can you tell me what should I do at the beginning to make sure it will least for 10 years

From What my tuner said , you would have to tune it to prevent check engine light to go on , so yah highly recommended so the car new tune will make it adapt to the new less restrictive air flow from a catless set up

@@emazens Stay away from your "tuner", my car had the resonators and mufflers deleted for 4 months and there was no check engine light. I have been tuned for 9 months and deleting the muffler only improves sound. Maybe gives a little more power....maybe.

When ur say tune. ? What do u actually do ? Do u tune the computer (ecu) ?

I had a 2010 e550 with only res delete i was happy . But e350 is a v6 will never sound like a v8 , i am sure there are a few videos and ppl who did it check them out

Sorry for the late response, not sure if you did it already, but no, there is absolutely no drone. I can only really hear the difference at 2000 to 3000 RPM. It sounds great though, but I’m thinking of a resonator delete too. Not sure if that will give it drone though.

@@goldn.86 No problem & thanks for the response. I ended up replacing the stock mufflers with sport mufflers and the car sounds much deeper with no annoying rasp.

i had an e550 2010 before this , and i can suggest you to start with res delete first , ull notice a better sound and if u want something louder then go for muffler delete combo with res delete , personaly i loved the res delete only ,, with muffler delete on top of res delete it was just too loud for my taste ...

@Phuong honestly the v8 biturbo is the main reason why i switched to the 2014 and facelift ( the 2012 also have the v8 biturbo ) look and performance ( tuned )
