I live in South Florida. Where can I go and get this Muffler Rebuild because I have the same problem. And the dealer wants to sell me a new piece for$4700.
Tons of stuff like this on my Sprinter should be Factory recall but they won't instead they want to charge you more than what the bands Worth to fix it
The original one has 2 holes, does the 2014 Sprinter have 4 mounting points for the new bracket with 4 holes? Or does something else have to be modified to install it?
2011 3.0 Sprinter similar problem with exhaust bracket it's broken on all of them should be a factory recall instead Mercedes wants to bend you over on a factory defective part
Also on so many modern deisel engines, including many Mercedes and Volkswagons is Black Death, exhaust and partially burn fuel fumes, blowing past injector seating copper washer. This should be a recall. Why? Because any old deisel fitter like me knows, all injectors had two lugs on them, with a 1/2" or 13mm stud, threaded into the block, on either side, which held the injector, under massive compression, securely. Now they have one 6 or M8 stretch bolt holding a V shaped clamp, at an angle pushing it to one side constantly. This has a much higher chance of failing, and it does, a lot. Sometimes you can just change the washer, if you're lucky, sometimes it will have score a line in thd head needing to be recut, not cheap. If you're really unlucky, it'll be too deep to be repaired, Black Death. All the while poisoning you. Like I said it should be a recall, cheap, nasty, dangerous, expensive and toxic design flaw.
