MERCEDES GLK350 COOLING FAN PROBLEM EASY AND FAST FIX!!!

Thats not the front SAM, its the prefuse box.

Thanks for the Video... Its one more thing for me to try. I have a 2004 W209 Temp Sensor works but Fan would not turn on. I replaced the temp sensor same thing. If I unplug the sensor the Fan does turn on High. I am getting no Codes and using the Maxis computer I can control the FAN through the ECM and vary its speed in test mode so the Fan to ECM seems fine and the ECM detects the temp sensor unplugged. The only thing not happening is the fan turning on at temperature or when the AC is engaged . Hopefully there is a hidden fuse that has blown.

Hi George , I have a 2011 C200 , was in and accident , and I have the same trouble, The cooling fan was in the safe mode, I replace the blown fuses from SAM module, the AC works, but now the cooling fan not start when the temperature is High

Hi George I have a 2014 Mercedes B180, recently I have problem it displayed "Coolant Stop Engine" I see that the fan is not working but the Mercedes dealer said that the water pump has gone bad. I am surprised to see that they come to such a conclusion even before they make the fan functional. Would you believe this? I need your expert advice what I should do, I am in Mumbai India. Thanks.

George great you tube. Wish I would have found it before I removed and repaired my SAM module. Where do you get the fuse. I am using 100amp boat fuse but would like to replace with original.

Hey George...question...This is what my dealer is telling my wife: Cooling Fan Assembly Replacement. The engine fan is losing communication with the engine control module causing the fan to run at full speed. Its a 2010 GLK 350......what's the cost for the parts and can I fix it? I looked online..the OEM sensor was $50 and the cooling fan varies from $205 to $300....they want to charge me $861. Thank you. if anyone else has the answer....I would greatly appreciate it.

Hello, I have a 2002 clk430, my heater and ac fane never shuts off even when key is pulled back, lots of people say it's the resistor but I think it would be a relay, do you think what u r showing is the same?

Hello, I have a similar issue on my 2009 w204 220 CDI. The cooling fan is not working, but if I put 12v power and bypass the steering module it works. It also works when the AC is on, but very slowly. Can it also be the SAM - module? Best regards Martin Z

So what would cause a 2010 glk 350 to not start and have no power windows, mirrors or panoramic roof. Also the steering wheel is not locking with the key out. I would think it would be the ESL but why won't the sunroof or windows work? Makes me think relay or fuse. Help?

Hi George, good video! I have a same car as on video with a fan trouble. In my case fan runs constantly on max speed 3 seconds after I switch on the engine. Goes off straight after engine off, regardless of temperature or anything. All sensors, liquids, AC, fuses seems fine. What do you think? Is there a chance to be the relay you talking about in your video please? Some ppl say its the engine ECU?. Thanks

Fuses blow for a reason.. Unless it was shorted by someone doing something stupid!! You may find that the fuse blows again if there is a short and it WON'T necessarily fix the issue!

easy fix? All you did was identify the problem but never mention where to find such a style fuse. It's not a sam box but a prefuse box. I never found that style of grouped fuses anywhere except for vehicle specific like Ford or jeep.

I'm having a huge issue with my C280 Luxury 2006. Here is a 2min video of the issue www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrgfY... It won't crank or start at all. As soon as I put the key into the 3rd ignition position. The car wont crank BUT the COOLER FAN is sounding LOUD like a Jet Turbine. I did the following changes: 1. Checked and Boosted the Battery 2. Fully charged the battery for 45mins at advanced auto parts 3. Checked all fuses and replaced any that had issues 4. Replaced Fuse 52 for a new 20amp one 5. Checked ignition relays and put new Siemens relays. 6. I don't know what else to do I took it to the Dealership for a mercedes recall on the sunroof that was detaching and not working. They took 4 hours to work on my car. They said they needed some glue. I took it back from the dealership for the 14 mile drive. Since then the car won't turn on at all. Please all your help is appreciated.
