Thanks! That was a fun tour. Unfortunately, I think they are, or were, just parts cars. Once stored outside for so long like that you can never really get them looking restored again w/o a ton of work and money. Cheaper to buy one in better shape in the long run. If only the guy had stored them in a warehouse as he acquired them, they'd probably be great!
Hi some of does cars are good I like that E300 I need one of does cars I am from Nigeria can someone pls buy one of does for me pls I don’t have one but I no how to drive automatic I have my license pls 🙏🙏🙏🙏
All these cars can be fixed. They shouldn’t be parted out unless it’s completely rusted out or smashed up. These older Mercedes are the best cars around. I enjoyed the video.
@@smacdiesel Totally agree with you. The guy taking the video is mistaken or doesn't appreciate that any complete structurally sound Mercedes can live on. He only seems interested in the interiors and bases his assessment on the seats to categorise them as a parts car.
Absolutely thanks for watching if you scroll through the comments someone posted the name of the guy that owns this place and the address. Sorry I don't know it.
Unbelievable, old Mercs whereever you see. Most of them could be fixed to have a second live on the road. Especially those type 124 are worth to get another chance on the road, but the others as well, like the 201 or the 126. Me I own a 124 230E station wagon with now 380.000 km. First engine, alloy wheels, aircondition, automatic gearbox, silver body and black interior. Thanks to the good care no rust. The car is used daily and runs a lot german Autobahn sometimes with topspeed (210 km/h). The fuel consumption is about 10 l/100 km.It's the best car I have up to today.
My daily driver is a W124 1994 E420 sedan retrofitted with a 5-liter M119 V8, giving it brutal acceleration. Backup cars include a 1991 R129 500SL, and a 2009 CLK550. I love the sound of a V8 Merc in the morning. Thanks for posting this video. A properly maintained Merc is as had to kill as a mutant zombie.
Unfortunately I’ve saved cars in worse shape than most of these. It’s sad to see but most people don’t understand that when these cars age they require care and maintenance. These all look like they could be saved.
Great restoration potential in many of them especially the W124/140 being the not so dated ones, so won't look out of place if retrofitted with full EV drive !!
Those must be really popular down there. They are kind of rare up here in Washington. I cannot find any at the junkyards around me. Only a few for sale on marketplace.
They are just as rare here this was actually one guy's property and he was a Mercedes hoarder. He has since gotten rid of all the cars. I'm sure someone came through and bought them all.
I have an outstanding condition 1982 300 TD for sale if you're interested. I could help you arrange shipping to Germany you can email me at John@woodsandbarclay.com
I own a 300SD 1983 126 chassis. I will never sale my car, it runs and drives, no smoke with still a lot of power with 150k miles! These diesels are tanks! Many of the parts on my car came from pick your part junk yards! And online mail order! But to me when you rebuild the steering, chassis, with new tires. The car rides and handles like smooth riding machine! Nothing like crushing at 75 on the freeway with that turbo inline five cylinder giving me 25 mpg! Mercedes-Benz diesel is my favorite car, should have bought one in my teenage years!
Damn, so many good parts. Got a buddy who's been after a nice blue dash, I've been after dark brown. These look pretty nice. So painful to see these so far away
In the very beginning at :14 secs of your video, I noticed a white w123 next to the white w124 but you bypass the w123 and went left to the other cars. Wonder if that w123 was gas or diesel and what year???
That grey wagon with the euro-headlights at about the 8:00 min mark was the best one, imho. How’s Rollo doing ? Also, have you had any issues with the 617 you rebuilt a year ago ? Thanks for the videos.
It's on the side of the road here in North Georgia between Roswell Georgia and Canton Georgia however all those cars are long gone and it's an empty field now.
Those are not my vehicles I just saw them on the side of the road between Roswell Georgia and Canton Georgia I don't know what the prices are or how to get in touch with the owner.
@@woodsandbarclay compared to finnish "parts cars" these are very good :D Even better than my old daily driver, now project w124 sportline was when i bought it..
The last Manila Beige 300TDT station wagon is 1985 California version with big canister type air cleaner. The owner is too greedy ...he is going to die and his cars would go to scrap yard.
All of those mercedeses can be saved. They are all good car projects. Specialy if we look what rusty cars can be restored.. not no mention those wich look realy worth of saving. I yust wish to get one 300 E for my self......
yeah there were a few cars in there that could be saved it's a shame they're all just sitting out in that field. I actually have a mint condition 1995 e300 for sale. If you look at some of my newer RU-vid videos you can see it. Give me a call at 404-200-3942 if you're interested
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. :-/
If america was closer to europe these mercs will all sell morocco will love these mercs as they still drive these diesels as taxis 300d engines are the best can do over a million miles so 200 300 k on the clock is a walk down the park for these old german tanks
What a Beauty i need to know the address please & phone number of that Car dealer please let me know about it Okey guys Thanks...i'm gonna buy one of those...
Didn't find one with the mythical 1M miles. My 1985 300D is at 385K miles, but the factory engine died at 330K. The yellow 300TD at 10:00 is a 1985 CA model, the only year they used that frame-mounted air cleaner. Avoids the cracked brackets of the engine-mounted ones. I retrofit my 1984 300D to that. The original Trap Oxidizer should have been changed to a catalytic converter, as a free recall. The later is shiny (below exhaust manifold). Strange that the body is rusty and the underhood aluminum corroded, so must have come to Georgia decades ago. Between Canton and Roswell makes sense since the northern suburbs of Atlanta are where rich people live. Like most dealers, the prices are high. I paid $2500 for my 1985 in 2001 from an individual, $400 for my 1984, and got a 1983 300D free (craigslist, just tow it) which I used to repair my 1985 after an accident. If CA\AZ\NV, you shouldn't find any rusty sheet-metal, though the sun takes a big toll if parked outside.
@@woodsandbarclay I got the 1983 just 6 months ago. Apparently, it had been abandoned at a paint shop and a young man bought it for the diesel engine to put in a 4WD, which is a popular. He left it with his dad to discard, who just wanted it gone. Apparently parts had been sold off when I got it since no glass, doors, or seats. Otherwise the body was beautiful with new modern paint (baby blue), but no way to restore it at that point. I stripped everything else, including cutting off the quarter panels (in case a future hit), then hauled the body shell to scrap metal. The transmission case was cracked, but I saved the innards. I've been selling off extra parts I won't need on craigslist, but buyers are rare.
I really desire to own a classic Mercedes Benz car. Am particularly interested in the 500E & 300E models. What are the current prices? Update me if possible. Thanks.
We only sell diesels. The 1995 E300 is a diesel and we recently sold a perfect condition one for 13,000 on our website. We of course did a lot of work on it first to make it perfect.
@@davidwilliemicah989 David all of our cars on our website are for sale. If you're talking about the cars in this Mercedes graveyard video they are long gone. I drove by this field the other day and it was empty. www.woodsandbarclay.com

@@davidwilliemicah989 hey David sorry I did not realize you were referring to the Mercedes graveyard video. Those are actually not our cars I just saw them on the side of the road. I went to visit there the other day and they are all gone and have been cleared out and purchased by someone. However we do have cars on our website www.woodsandbarclay.com
