What love about old Mercedes Benz is that, the design is so unique, even someone who is not acquainted with cars can look at it and go 'Yes, that is a Mercedes.' They also look absolutely incredible, especially the W124 model.
Correction.... Mercedes never die lol. No matter the engine. I swear they keep going for ages. Got a 90 420SEL and it sat for 6 years, Started up changed the normal things, its solid as it gets @ 300k miles
I am so impressed with that engine. 380+k, started up like it had been sitting for a day, and does t have a puff of smoke from hard reving! I need one in my life...

OMG! It's Vito. Fancy meeting you here. I am one of your subscribers. I wish this guy would talk and give us some info. Maybe no speakedy English. Lol. I tried to find one of these in a 6 cylinder (300d) years ago here in the U.S. and the few I found people wanted outrageous prices and they gave ridiculously high fuel mileage on them. I have an e320, 2001, now. I really like their diesels though. Take care and I'll be watching your vids to.

In indonesia we just have W124 300E petrol (basically any diesel mercedes are quite rare here)....and its not expensive....just about US$4000 in great condition
I love this model, I have a 124 e300 86 'and I fell in love at first sight, it was from my grandfather and it was very dirty and with problems of dirt inside, worn tires, body oils, upholstery, lights and I have fixed it and I cannot avoid turning around to see it, nowadays I have it very well cared for and restored :)
Technisch 124ist ein sehr zuverläsiges das Auto, noch besser von Mercedes ist alle Toyota, besonderes Camry Honda Accord und Legend,, Nissan Maxima, nach 14 jahren habe ich eine Toyota corolla gestsrtet ohne Probleme..

You should know that new not always means better, as they say in comerrcials. Because now quantity is more important thank quality. Everything is made anyhow, to be broken faster so customer needs to buy a new one. It is very common on many fields, not only automotive. 4. Contemporary cars are beeing made for idiots, who can't drive. With a hundreds of "safety" systems which are taking all driving pleasure. Soon the cars will be driving by themselves, but will be still real automotive? Hell no! 5. When you buy a new car, you are losing minimum 20-30% of it's worth when you are going out of a car showroom. But who will forbid the Rich? (or stupid 😜) Even if you have money, a lot wiser is to buy a youngtimer. Because it's value gonna increase
I'm surprised to see the automatic transmission to work after standing for such a long time in the open. These transmissions are really indestructible, but more fuel-hungry than 5G-Tronic.
I was a taxi driver here in portugal 250D with broken suspension, 1,200 00p km 300 km in one day from lisbon to Fátima, the best Voyage i made, the costumers didnt notice the problem because it was big and confortable.... australian people.... and the 5 cilinder, my god what sound,better only the 6 cilinder.....
Love this car ! All it needs is a good tune up and a nice detail. It will be good as new ! BTW - what’s wrong with the speedometer ? It doesn’t move and when does, doesn’t read correctly.
Philipp Maier Damals waren Autos auch noch etwas komplett anderes. Heute ist jedes Bauteil in einem Auto für eine gewisse Zeitspanne optimiert und danach gehts halt kaputt. Früher hat man so noch nicht gedacht. Da war alles überdimensioniert und hat somit auch lange gehalten.
I want look after this 250D by repaint,clear the rust then detailing. For engine,I will swap to OM605 or OM606 and 722.6 Transmission. That's really W124 sleeper af.
