Mercedes-Benz M-class w166 in 2011 replaced his predecessor Mercedes ML w164. In 2015, after facelift ML W166 was renamed GLE.

I have the 2014 ML base ( with Harman Kardon Speakers) but loaded enough for me. My wife has the 2018 GLE with the Technology package loaded with everything, both purchased at MB dealerships in NY. What can I say, these are great vehicles, no stress comfortable enjoyable. It's not everyday that you actually see a You tube video of a particular vehicle design. Planning and production, it must be a special vehicle. I am proud to own this vehicles. Oh by the way I also get a lot of undeserved respect just for driving this vehicle.

They totally hit it out of the park with the w166… still today, no matter if ML or GLE, it’s one of their all time best cars! Speed, size, usefulness, capability, best!

I drive a X166 GL. The development was probably in parallel with the W166 as the body is just a little longer than the M/GLE. Love the matte wood interior with the exposed wood grain. The video of off road maneuvers on the rocks by the river shows it is a pretty capable SUV. The engine and build quality is so much better than the current W167/X167 in my opinion. Thank you for sharing this video!

Lol it isn't, my mom has always driven mercedes SUVs. First w163, then x164, x166, x166 restyling and finally x167 which she just took delivery of a couple months ago. Built quality is much better than previous models. Actually I always thought previous models felt cheap inside, more like an E class rather than an s class which it was supposed to be

Thats why Mercedes-Benz is the best, in German: Hier sieht man wieder die Detailarbeit in der Entwicklung auf allen Ebenen, das gibt es wohl bei kaum einem anderen Hersteller.

I chose mL350 cdi blue tech over the newer GLe250 and I think I made a good decision. m class looks so much better imo

I love my 550 in diamond white. Ive owned a few nice cars but this one might be the best. It feels heavy yet accelerates and turns effortlessly.
