I have an ML400 W163. Probably you will be surprised but on trunk panel is also 3 screws T27, about what obviously or specially you forgot to say in your video + to get of a little trim from the lock and not to brake it it it's much easier to release (don't open it compleatly out) also one philips screew under the lock handle. Chears!!! :D

what about removing the panel over the left wheel well , I cannot find anything on this does anyone know what it is called?

I'm trying to install a license plate mounted camera, but not sure if I will have access to the backup light wiring in the lift gate of my W163 ML. I suppose I could always attach it to switched power, but then the camera would be on all the time whether I'm backing up or not. Alternately I could attach it to the bumper and tie into the trailer hitch wiring, but that wouldn't be as attractive. Appreciate any replies ...
