This is amazing work! I've been trying to do the same mechanism for a uni project but my work is nowhere near this professionalism. Did you do this all by yourself? Can u make tutorials on how you did this?
Hi this is a very good illustration and attempt to reverse engineer, It would be a great opportunity to learn if you could make a video tutorial. How did you get this models and were you trying to find any locking while simulating this model. can you please share any of the information with me. Thanks again for this good work.
I was fixing the wipersystem on my mercedes and had to do a project for school. So i decided to combine the tasks. I took the whole assembly apart and measured the parts. Then I modeled them into SolidWorks. The only parts that are not true to life are the gears.
Hello k22k may I ask you something? does the "half moon" gear and the small gear are exact replicas of the parts from the car? Because I just bought an old 190E and I'm trying to fix the wiper mechanism. Problem is, Mercedes does not sell the gears separately, and the whole wiper assembly is VERY expensive. I was thinking to have the parts machined, and with your models it would be a great help. Great video!
+Adolfo Bisi unfortunately I have to say that these gears are not exact replicas of this wiper system. Most of the details in this system I reverse-engineered off of my own Wiper system, however the gears are just taken from the Solidworks Toolbox
