Mercedes S-Class (W220): Side Mirror Rubber Gasket/Door Panel 2003-2006 

I'm sorry, i didn't get you. Is it possible to change the gaskets without removing door panel? I'm asking you cause i need to change them and i've already ordered them. Thank you

@@fvip666 You don't have to remove the door card to replace but it's a bit tricky with the door card still on the car. Disconnect the two cables for the wing mirror from the DCM. Tie a long piece of string (maybe a couple of shoe laces tied together) to the cable ends. Remove the wing mirror from the car. Pull the cables through the wing mirror opening and you should have enough string to hang on the inside and outside of the door. Untie the string on the outside so you can fit the new gasket. Then after replacing the gasket, tie your sting back on the cables on the outside and pull the string from the inside to feed the cables back to the DCM (be carefull not use too much force while pulling and use your other hand to manouvere the cables back to the DCM as it's a tight space with the door card installed)

Thank you very much! Saved me a lot of time. Approximately 30cm in length is enough. You have to slightly push the door card forwards when you pull out the wires at the end.

how did you manage that? It seems the wires for the electric adjustment would get in the way? From what I can see. the whole reason for removing the interior paneling is to get those two wires out.

The gaskets I received direct from MB had a little note inside telling me to do what I already thought was obvious!. Quite simply, cut the gasket on the underside, put it in place and slide the mirror cover back on! You'd never even know it had been cut and it looks and functions perfectly!

If the gasket was meant to be cut, it would have a cut in it from the factory.
