I’m the first comment!!! Deo, I really must commend you on your consistency! Definitely the most hard working and consistent content creator on RU-vid. Love the work and thorough detail as always, looking forward to part 2!
Thank you! This was perfect. It helped me diagnose my 2010 Sprinter oil cooler leak, and after watching all five videos, now I've learned all the exact steps involved and so feel mentally prepared.
-You’re definitely one of the best in your field, so glad you decided to create this channel! So proud of you Deo, you’re already doing great things!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hi, I like your video, very well explained, I have a question, how much is a job like that? My 2008 sprinter seems to have a lick from the oil cooler as well, it licks through the turbo and very often it goes into limp mode.
I’m currently in the process of performing this exact repair. I just removed the heat shield off the turbo and determined some more reverse torque bolts need to come out before this turbo can find its way on the table. Thank you for a thorough and informative illustration.
A little secret, it is possible to get oil cooler out without taking turbo, inlet off. Remove fuel filter, fuel cross over pipe, and turbo charge pipe. Then die grind about 5mm off block just above the drain hole. This allows u to pivot cooler and lift out.Undo all the cooler bolts and remove. Turns a 12hr job into 3
Hi good day, Your you tube sessions that I have seen are fantastic, Perhaps you might assist me with a very frustrating situation, On my 2008 sprinter 906 311 tere is a bad oil leak it is a steady strean while the engin runs. probabally a cup full in 30 minutes. the engin oil is dripping from the Steering pump at the bottom probabally where it joind the engin, What I do not know is why, does the engine oil go through the steering pump, if so perhaps a seal is gone or piping broken, I am elderl and have not managed to go under the van to have a good liik, Any asistance would be appreciated.
You can take the oil cooler out without removing the intake, just remove the turbo with the base + fuel filter, long quarter inch extension with a t37 and slide it out from the back where the turbo sits
One question: where you show the turbo DPF tube at 17:50, do you know what year they changed to the easier-to-remove pipe? Do the 2010-and-later have the easier configuration? Thanks.
I have a 2008 and right at 17:38 you mentioned that the 2013 models have that part that can be removed. I don’t have that and wow it made it much more difficult :(
