Mercedes W140 600 Max Temp Outside sensor 

I wanted to shift the outside Temp Sensor into the Engine Compartment as it would be more useful there ,but as it can only read a Temp up to 58c , it is useless there ,M120 V12 Engines get much much hotter under the hood then that .
It's not important ,just for my own curiosity how hot it really gets underneath that Hood ,Engine Temp is one thing under the hood is another .
