Cannot thank you enough guys! Had the same problem with my W211 E500. Screen locked on Mercedes logo then turns itself off, no sound if it stayed on occasionally. Popping noises coming from rear speakers. I saw this, pulled the fuse, which looked perfectly good by the way, replaced it with a new one and it WORKS!!! You are da man, Many Thanks for your help.

Craig McDowell and from now on, if your fuses are fine and you had the same problem, all you need is to change the car battery. Pro tips 👍👍.

hi guys, thanks for Auto Repair Guys and thanks to you for your comment because when I came across this helpful video I started reading the comments to get the most benefits, so I found your valuable comment. I had the same noise coming from the rear speaker I thought it might be caused by a low voltage on the alternator or the battery, just replaced the voltage regulator and both batteries but unfortunately the noise still remains and yesterday I disconnect the battery while I was working on the car reconnect it back the audio system went off just like the video above, so if the audio system stopped functioning because blown fuse that will leave me wondering what caused the fuse to blow i hope it's not a short circuit, your opinions so important guys thanks

I have a similar issue on a 2003 W211 - but the 40A fuse is not blown. It also now likes to cut out - any ideas? Thank you!

I have a c class 2012 all the radio functions work except when I turn up and down the volume there is no sound from the speakers, I did a circuit check and it tells me that loudspeakers open, you have a video related to that case.

I'd like to ask what I think is very important regarding the modules that connect to the radio in the cockpit. Are the fibre optic cables navigation, audio gateway, voice module, etc multi-mode or single-mode? I'm asking because I removed the Bluetooth dongle from inside my armrest compartment to free up space for my actual phone, and that caused the radio to stop working. I'm just wondering if I can splice the in and out cables to close the loop instead of waiting 2 months for the loop from AliExpress. Thanks

I have a 2006 clk350 and my radio lost sound today 04/08/18 but the screen was still visible. I replaced the sound system fuse and it worked!!!

Alberto Marian change, 2 fuses which are in the trunk number 6 from down with 40 amps and the second one is inside the car on the left side panel it is number 3 on the left if I am not wrong with 5 amps only ! And your good to go or otherwise your battery voltage is lower than 12 and you need at least 12 so it can work fine !

Details: -the radio does not automatically shut off when the key is pulled -the radio does this when the car is running -non NAVI -I get a three minute warning to insert my key before it shuts off Can you please tell me what is the problem

Have a 2003 e 500 with nothing works on the command unit. The screen lights and have checked all fuses and they seem all good in the trunk of the car what else could be the problem.
