I just did this to my 2004 E320. I ordered the tool not expecting it to work, to be honest. It was under $30 delivered, so I figured it was worth a shot. And to my surprise, it worked! At least for now, anyway.

6 years after you posted this and this helped me so much cause this damn warning came back and I had already replaced the sbc so finally I can drive without this annoying warning

Hi, how long did this last after you re set it? Also as i understand this will prevent the red warning sign from popping up which reduces brake power? Very dangerous warning from Mercedes as it can stop a perfectly good SBC braking system from working whilst driving. Great Video

Hello! No regen, I did a complete diagnosis of w211. The sbc slowly tullepi the 1.4m brake event. Already my fault displays have appeared. I saw your video and ordered such a tool. I did the restart. For 3 days everything was perfect without error. yesterday flashed Service Brake! Visit Workshop and Break Fluid Error. Do you have any idea what the problem is? What I did to make the error out of the service alone was not to reset the sbc because it was ridiculously asked for it so that there were only a few clicks in the program. the cube was said to have no mechanical trouble just beyond the operating hours. Привет друг. Сейча с пишет стар подходит предел количества нажатий. Ресивер ещё в норме. Блок 005. Если сбросить на 50 проц. Стар что потом покажет? И можно ли сбросить на 50 проц самим старом? И как проверить щетки? На что их заменить если что? Номер щеток и тп? Сколько у вас после этой процедуры пробег прошел и что ещё делали с электромотор ом? Благодарю

Please don't do this! The message means, that the SBC-Brake Unite exceeded its expected lifetime and needs to be replaced soon!!! There is no resetting it. The unit is just not tested for longer operations and may fail leaving you with no brakes at all. Still, it might also work for another few thousand kilometres. You just don't know. It is just stupid and dangerous to ignore these warnings. Don't mess around with it.
