Mercedes ESP Inoperable - See owners manual - how to fix step by step guide. You will need to get the MB V1.0 kit as shown in this link www.diagnostic-world.com/pages... The part which needs to be replaced is the brake switch
The MB V1.0 kit as shown in this video is available here www.diagnostic-world.com/pages/iCarsoft_MB_V1_0_Mercedes_Sprinter_Smart_Multi_System_Diagnostic_Reset_Tool_Engine_ABS_Airbags_Oil_Reset__189133-z=563774&p=129635.cfm
Clearing the fault codes it doesn't necessarily mean the problem will go away!!! I had the same issue, same fault code on a Mercedes E220 (w207). I changed the brake switch twice thinking that the first one might have been faulty (buying a new switch it doesn't mean it's always a good one). The dash lights go out as soon as you clear the codes, but as soon as you drive and brake, the lights come back on again. In my case there was an electrical issue between the brake switch "S9/1" and the control unit "N30/4" (Electronic Stability program control unit).
Do you have any videos on a Mecedes with all the safety functions not working with the car not able to drive? I have a 2013 ML 63 AMG and when it goes crazy if I’m already driving it will drive normal but the dashboard is going crazy with all the safety features wigging out but as soon as I stop it’s hard to put into park and park break is temperamental. Please help.
My 2011 W212 wont shift out of park. I got the esp/abs message. Is this anyones symptoms? I need to know. I scanned it and same codes. Please let me know if you couldnt shift prior to doing this. Thanks.
I have the same message but the problem i have is the car will not start and if i use the push start button it locks the key switch and than i hav eto disconnect the battery to turn it off happen the last two times that i took a 8hr plus road trip first time went into limp mode this time will not start back
If you changed the brake-light switch and still see ESP-INOPERABLE, next find out which and change the wheel ABS-SENSOR, they're behind the wheel on the top-ceiling of under-body and they look like a foot-long wire with 1 end bolted to body and other end plugged in.
