Mercury 150 FourStroke Setting the Standard 

I just bought a 2023 150, I would like to see a small access door on the side of the engine cowl to check engine oil level. Mounted on a Pontoon Boat, it is a little hard to lift it off. I can't imagine removing the cowl on a boat that stays in the water most of the time, with the cowl latch in the back.

What about in the shallow water will it fly right over it? Say about 2 feet of water maybe less like 6 inches of water

Sounds like throttle lag like ski-doos 1200 4 tec 900 ace and 600ace id rather have a throttle body for each cylinder
