I live and die with my Mercury Magnetics transformer upgrades and choke in both my Peavey 5150 II’s. Night and day difference and great people. RIP Patrick your passion for tone will live forever!❤️🤘🏻
Someone gave me an old set of transformers when I was buying a relel to reel tape machine . He said they've been in my garage for years.. Got em home . Dagnal iron for 100 Watt marshall. I was so happy. A jcm900 lay down pt and a dagnal ot from a 30th anniversary marshall 6101 or spmething... my first thought, im building a super lead. It's on the .list anyway. 68 plexi 1987 is next, tho!! Have fun with your build, dude!!
hi granville guitars! thank you for the package opening of mercury magnetics products. i want to build an amp using these. Its a custom amplifier , maybe i can get some amp builder's help.
scooter -- I have a 1973 Marshall super lead , stamped code date is a E ,the trouble I'm have-n is the tag label is done wore off, and I am have-n trouble date-n the day and month, I thought you might -b- able to guide me in this subject , I noticed you had a vid pointing out the tag code date on the 1967 (Steve Howe) Marshall you did with the worn out label I thought I might -b- able to get it off of the transformer stamp date or close to it ,any hints? buy the way , Like your Vids, it's a lot better than watching someone else (not to mention names) who goes around complain -n how its not worth do-n repairs and guidance, and speeds up there vids so fast he looks like he's have-n spasm's , one minute he's work-n on the item next minute he's done, then says he didn't want to bore you with the details
STEPHEN M STEPHENSON - Once the production label is gone, the amp is up for interpretation. You're basically going to have to gather up the codes for any remaining original components and come up with an educated guess. Even then, you may never know anything that the serial number doesn't tell.
