I'd love to know what your favorite hero to pocket as Mercy is!

Personally I LOVE pocketing a bastion. It gives me soo much dmg boost and the sound of his assault mode damage boost is just so satisfying for some reason!

the soldier putting the field for you after you got hit by the dynamite was so sweet 🥺 like he was returning the favor ❤❤

I can't wait until half a year from now when some new support player stumbles upon this video and goes "Wait. Mercy used to be able to damage boost?" :')

A note on Sombra. Please heal injured Sombras that are near you so she isn't forced to put Translocator in bad spots or is forced to take paths that remove her from fights. Her down time is her biggest weakness and if she's next to you running back into the fight, or near your back or front line, heal her before she paths to a Mega that is 10 seconds away. Don't pocket them though. Just tap heal them for about a second if injured so she can engage faster.

Ashe is easily my favourite pocket, she's usually in a safe spot and dynamite tick is satifying, even if theyre not as good as the other dps you can always flick to her occasionally for dynamite. But especially with the new changes I hate phara pocket so much keeping up with her is tough and you just get hard focused while they usually end up ignoring the phara and if they end up being not very good they will probably get annoyed they aren't being pocketed and start spamming need healing, its the only pocket that even dps who know nothing about support know is a good combo so they just expect you to be with them.

Ski I can't thank you enough!! I've gotten better with Mercy but I'm still new enough that I didn't know who to pocket over who. This helps so much, thank you!

Personally my favorite pocket will always be Pharah- I'm usually duo queuing with a Pharah main and she's very good at making callouts and listening to mine. If Pharah isn't working she'll swap either Ashe or Sym depending on the team comp and in both cases I still pocket her because I find I can rely on her to help me out of bad situations.

Personally I enjoy pocketing '76 and Bastion, they usually have consistant damage and since they aren't in the frontlines I can just take cover around the corner or out of LOS from the enemy to give support.I still prioritize flyers over gunners but the sounds of an ulting 76 is great

i LOVE LOVE LOVE pocketing genji, I don’t get as much fun out of pocketing any other hero as I do with genji. He’s so fast and aggressive and it’s just incredibly amusing to pocket him and assist the amount of eliminations he does (especially when the genji is good)

i play widow for the most part and i adore a pocket. i get focused so fast so it helps me when a mercy pockets me, plus my body shots are more threatening and the enemy becomes more controlled by my pressure as a result. i like to position myself in the back so mercy can fly somewhere reliably if needed

I've pocketed a couple Sym in low rank games. Its so fun hearing her charged up beam melting tanks while keeping her alive.

I love to pocket Junkrat because I main him in DPS, but I don’t run into many good Ashe players in Plat, so what I mainly get to pocket is Bastion and sometimes Soldier or Phara, one that i definitely love to pocket as well is a Ramatra in his nemesis form! Especially during his ultimate

Im not a mercy player and kinda just stumbled upon this video but ever since genji's damage has been hit, having a mercy pocket feels so good cuz you dont watch 10 people walk away with 1 health every game

personally i would put bastion and sym with widowmaker. i love pocketing bastion and symmetra because i feel like they can die pretty fast on their own, but if you can keep them alive long enough to get value and damage boost them when they start rolling they can really carry

Pocketing Bastion and Echo are my favourite targets as their high DPS is like music to my ears

Not my favorites, but I really enjoy Bastion and Symm as pockets, both since they can dish out the damage, but also because the emergency heal for when they inevitably get focused can save them and keep the damage going.

echo is absolutely my favorite. shes like a mix of pharah and genji with the verticality yet frequent flanks and hard dives. plus her one shot is extremely satisfying to boost

My favorite pockets are Ashe, Cassidy and Genji. Ashe and Cassidy are safe, solid options, and Genji, while hard to follow around, is cute and has nice voice lines so I like helping him :)

as a top500 Sym main I get really frustrated when mercy underestimates the power of a Sym that is being pocketed like I was in a game in king's row against a Dva, Genji, Torb, Zen, and Baptiste, and my mercy decided that it was better to pocket our soldier, I agree with her placement in the tier, but I do believe that it is very underrated for how good it can be.

ashe, bastion, and cass are SOO satisfying and fun to pocket!

My favorite pocket is Ashe! The ticking noise from damage boosting dynamite and feeling relatively safe with Ashe's positioning is just too good. My duo plays Ashe so maybe I'm biased but it's just *chef's kiss*

I would say, beyond the obvious ones, like Bastion and Ashe(for some reason ashe players tend to be decent at aiming more of the time??) I would say i do actually enjoy pocketing flankers if the map is open enough that i can just avoid damage by superjumping or juggling. Like personally I LOVE pocketing Tracers lol the sound effect is so satisfying for both players and the dmg boost makes it SO much easier for her to get kills in a pinch or even before getting noticed. Other than that i always find it cute to pocket Genjis cuz they usually LOVE you and you get to make Genji actually get value. Honorable mention tho, Mei, because even though she wants to play up close, good Mei's usually play cover A LOT and wait for enemies to overextend.

The heroes that thanked me the most for pocketing were Soldiers, so they are my favourites for that! Also, sometimes genjis appreciate too.

My legit dream dps combo is solider and bastion, like dmg boosting bastion in tank form is the best feeling ever, and then when thats on cooldown pocketing solider. Like i get why pll like to go with flying heroes but i think its so hard to keep up w the gaurdian angel cooldown 😝

God when I get pocketed on doomfist I feel unstoppable, this damage boost so helpful for df

I know you only went over DPS heros, but I LOVE when I get the chance to damage boost my other support. Obviously 90% of the time they aren’t priority, but I’ll gladly pocket a Zen if my DPS are underperforming, or help an Ana secure a kill on a slept target. Also, I take it as a challenge when I have a Moira to flick to damage boost when I think she’s gonna use a damage orb.

Mine is definitely genji . It's the fact that his harder to keep up with that makes him so much more fun❤. But it's also quite risky 😅

I'm a Soldier and Cass player, you rarely see reliable Mercy's in ranked. But if you do, you melt peoples HP.

I agree with Bastion being underrated to DB... I love blue beaming bastions especially if the enemy thinks Rein is the answer to this silly combo o.0

Dude the amount of Sombras who get salty i never heal them on principle when their invisible is kinda nuts "Like dude i'm doing YOU a favor...i'll heal you if you're next to me but i don't wanna kill your positioning" lol the life of a mercy/support. As to pocketing Ashe is almost always a garuntee good pocket! I never pocket Pharah as they are usually the most inconsistent player in bronze...same with Sojourn unless i see her popping off. Bastion is my most consistent and i get a lot more results from him.

I very much enjoy pocketing Bastions. Every time he lets it rip in assault mode with my damage boost, I imagine a "graceful" A-10 Warthog mowing down enemies. xD

I played a rare DPS game the other day and the enemy DPS was sombra and was being hard pocketed by mercy, it made my life a lot easier 😅 I love to damage boost targets that make satisfying noises which is why I prefer soldier over cass but I think Pharah is my fave just cause I have to think more and move around a lot more

My favourite DMG boost target is Mei. If you are on the bridge chokepoint on Dorado and you Damage Boost a Mei from either a room or the sidelines. She will melt the whole team it’s so good. She’s also really good on Oasis, Nepal, Paraiso and more. It’s more risky and yes it’s niche but whenever I get the opportunity to, I love it.

My immediate first thought was "I really like your voice!" Also, it feels very affirming to have somebody who clearly understands my main express a lot of thoughts I've had too.

My favorite has always been Ash and soldier. I like Cass but I always get more consistent damage off of Soldier and damage boosting his ult is so satisfying

genji imo is the most underrated pocket on this list: it's probably one of the most valuable ults to help him farm it faster, and dmg boost makes the dash + 1 blade slash kill a squishy. a lot of times i'd say is worth to pop valk when he's ulting just to have a good angle on both him and the rest of your team.

I love boosting a zarya or symm. All those ticks are too satisfying

i get unbelievably steamy when I have bastion and cassidy as my dps. its fun pocketing cass and then swapping to bastion during config

good tier list but i can almost never pocket cause everyone is always critical lmao. its like everyone is full health and the ana is constantly healing them, then when i go to pocket theyre all dead😭

I would like to add with Sombra that dmg boosting her can be helpful if she's trying to farm emp off of a tank.

i only have one rule and one rule only for pocketing: if you carry or do really well, i will pocket you. no matter if it's tank or dps. im still in lower rank so those s rank character doesn't always do well. but my personal favorite is soldier and the flying gal: pharah and echo. as a soldier main when dpsing having mercy behind you with the boost is muah chef's kiss

If a sombra is fighting on the point with you there’s a fat chance she’s already picked and hacked a target and if they’re good it was a high priority target so the dmg boost can be super cute.

My 42 final blow game as widow was only due to my fantastic mercy pocket. I need that again

I love pocketing Pharahs and soldiers, and sometimes ashe. And I like pocketing junkrat and meI. For me them two are like A tier for me

The ticking sound of boosting dynamite into 3+ heroes is otherworldly.

I guess higher ranked Widowmaker might make for better targets, but when in lower ranks I don't think players are changing how they play in regards to charge to make mercy's boost actually do anything except take bigger chunks out of tanks. Same with Hanzo, as he also already one shots, outside of storm arrows of course, and charging less would change the trajectory of his arrows, right?. With Junkrat's nerf to the concussion mine, I think damage boosting him for more reliable one-two punches is valid. Sombra could use the boost after a good emp to really eat through the remainder of affected targets' HP. I also don't think Bastion's recon mode is any slouch when given a boost. I may need to change my stance on Genji, I figured her boost was not buffing the dragonblade enough to make a difference in TTK, but maybe the shurikens are enough at least.

Zarya is a high A tier low S Tier pocket in my opinion. She can peel with bubbles, has enough health that you can boost a bit more and full charge laser with damage boost is godlike. I know this doesn’t include tanks though

I don't like to pocket, but when I'm playing with friends I'll pocket one of them (he usually plays DPS or tank) as i can stick with him, healing and damage boosting, occasionally switching to the others or the tank if they're low and tge other healer can stick with the rest of the team

For me i love to pocket a Symmetra even tho she is a short range character her beam does alot of damage destroying all shields and 200 hp heroes.

Genji is the best in terms of fun, the most fun hero to pocket, though a bit harder now with new GA cooldown =\

I dont hear ppl say it often but I really love pocketing Echo's! Idk what it is its just really fun

I love a widow pocket because I can easily swoop in to the rest of the team and then fly back out to widows safe spot Also res her so she keeps a consistent pressure from a distance

when symmetra has full beams she is SO strong with a pocket

I'd say boosting a Sombra is underrated... In the right circumstances. Obviously a diving Sombra is a no go to pocket, but when the Sombra likes to (or the situation requires) stay in close to the front lines and harass the tank boosting her + hack is gonna melt. Pocketing her during her ult is also really solid so she can stay longer and get more value of the multi hack

I would like to add a note ski with torb his secondary is also boosted if i recall along with his hammer doing 140 dmg last i heard

tbh this is mostly down to personal preference but i actually LOVE damage boosting mei. people really underestimate how much damage her m1 deals and as someone who plays a lot of mercy and a lot of mei, it can be really satisfying to watch the enemy scramble to avoid a damage boosted, multi target, debuff inducing, spray n pray ability. its shockingly effective, especially if there are multiple targets bunched up together idhfsbfs

I don't play mercy often but she is my 6th most played some how but I hope you do tanks as I think junkerqueen is the best tank to pocket as damage is insane with JQ and she can heal herself with bleed and help mercy stay alive due to her shout

honestly, as a Mercy main, i love pocketing anyone in S tier + Widow on her strong maps

I enjoy boosting hanzos haha, just imo its usually the hanzo who pops off over the other dps on my team! But i also prefer mccree and Ash.

As a Zen I always feel so special when Mercy pockets me during team fights. Dmg boost and orb is a dirty combo on tanks.

I love damage boosting Reaper. I love playing Reaper and I know full well that at close range with Reaper people are jsut exploding. Im always just like LETS CRACK SOME HEADS! With my pocket reaper.

As a sombra player I always go no when I get damaged boosted

Can you make a video on how to do a long distance superjump rez when there is a lucio is who planning on booping you?

So as a Sombra main, I have to stand up for my girl here. I would actually put her in C tier since there is a situation where you can help her with damage boost. This is when disrupting tanks or flankers. You have to remember that mercy damage boost stacks with the damage boost from hack. So you get a 50% damage boost from them combined. You can also do it after her EMP since you will also be giving her that 50% damage boost, but that is also very risky. As for Symmetra, she is an interesting one. So damaging boosting Sym's secondary actually breaks a damage break point for her. She can now 2 shot any 225 or less target with her right click, which is kind of big. But with the slow projectile speed and charge time, it can be hard to do that reliably. Also remember you can take Sym TP too, so you do have another escape method with Sym other than GA; allowing for more aggression with her.

Ik this is 4 months old but I feel like current (Season 6) Sym is WONDERFUL to pocket especially if she is aggressive with the ones I am use to currently because of how quick her beam is charged now (Torb is not fun to pocket still tho ew)

Here is my list for Mercy pocketing supports: S: Baptiste, Illari, Kiriko, Zenyatta A: Ana, Lifeweaver B: Moira C: Brigitte, Lúcio D: Mercy Baptiste is in S tier, because damage boosting him in combination with his Amplification Matrix, you can absolutely destroy the enemy team. Illari is in S tier, because she is more of a damage hero, than a support hero, due to the fact that her primary fire and ultimate are very strong. You only need to Damage boost Illari, since her healing pylon will be your best friend. Kiriko is in S tier, because of her head shot damage and Kitsune Rush being really strong for damage boosting. Zenyatta is in S tier, because killing Tanks makes his job even easier. Orb of Discord, Damage Boost and Orb Volley can deal insane damage to Tanks. Ana is in A tier, because she cannot Nano Boost herself. If she could Nano boost herself, would make her even stronger to damage boost. Her primary fire and Biotic grenades are pretty strong already to damage boost. Lifeweaver is in Atier, because despite being a primarily healing support, his damage is actually pretty good. Like he doesn't have any damage modifiers, however his petal platforms gives you a safe distance from the enemy, plus he has great survivability and can life grip you from being in danger. Moira is in B tier, because she can deal quite a lot of damage (which heals herself actually). However I have 2 problems with Moira: for starters she doesn't have any damage modifiers, and a fading Moira is really annoying since it breaks your beam. Brigitte is in C tier, because her damage is quite low for a support, even her healing is low for a support. She doesn't really need to be damage boosted, because she is most likely to be on the frontline than other supports, and it isn't a great idea for Mercy to be on the frontline due to her being more vulnerable. The only reason why you would even damage boost Brigitte, I during her ultimate since she is harder for the enemy team to kill, due to being tankier. Lúcio is in C tier, because his mobility makes it difficult to catch up with him. His damage is good, but Lúcio is more likely to heal than to damage. Mercy is in D tier, because... why would you even pocket another Mercy? The only time you would have a second Mercy on your team is in no limits. Mercy has low damage for a support, besides she would most use her staff, and not her blaster. The only reason you damage boost another Mercy is during her ultimate, because she has infinite ammo and is the only support (other than Lifeweaver) to have an automatic weapon, which means that you don't need to spam click whatever you primary fire button is.

I have a question! Usually when I have an Ashe on my team and I pocked as Mercy and Ashe ults, I swap my damage boost to BOB as long as there are enemies in LoS, is this good or should I generally stay on Ashe?

I think the only time you should dmg boost a sombra is when she ults. But don’t make it a priority

Not my favorite, but i actually like boosting Symmetra, only if the enemies are walking through choke or fighting on point close range. She absolutely melts them and they won't even have time to pull out of the fight.

Thanks for a fantastic video! I know this is something you've covered in other videos, but can you (or someone else) remind me how damage boosting Ashe's dynamite works? Do you have to beam her before she throws it and keep it on her the whole time? Or if you miss the initial throw, can you still boost her for the fire ticks?

bastion is a solid C tier in his normal form but i genuinely don’t think there’s a better pocket when he’s in assault form.
