This is just absolute brilliance - have not seen a mercy guide that comes even close to touching the knowledge and approach you’re dropping here - sending to my teammates! I might actually feel confident now playing mercy
@@LightningX-ie8wu tracer needs a nerf. Like a cooldown between blinks. I'd accept a health boost at the same time, but currently she's just SO annoying to play against. Her guns do WAY too much damage to be able to blink around as fast as she does, she's supposed to be a backline harasser, not a core damage char
6:00 Sounds like the opposite of the way some top Mercies teach it. I've personally practiced and used that other way: Look at the target and GA to them. The moment the rez player icon shows up, flick the camera up and press rez. The icon lingers for a short time after you stop looking at the target, so this is fine. A split second later (or basically at the same time as pressing rez), press jump. Since your camera has been flicked up, you will fly in an arc, but because you are rezzing, the momentum is greatly reduced. So you don't fly too high or too far. If you mess it up, in the worst case you are rezzing the target while moving on the ground slowly (failed the GA jump, usually by pressing too late. Almost immediately after rez starts, you lose the window of opportunity to GA jump). Pulling this off succesfully has, for example, allowed me to rez the tank and live due to a Hanzo missing his shot, compared to if I were stationary. It seems that in the method you showed, if you mess it up, in the worst case you fling yourself way too far away from the target (usually into enemies) and can't get the rez in, or you waste the cooldown because you have too much momentum and go out of range. Although, now with the GA nerf, it may be wiser to simply cancel GA early and walk up to the target. Once you're done rezzing, GA should then be back up again for you to escape. This is because the longer cooldown now means that a superjump rez no longers gives you your cooldown back once rez animation is done, so you are even more vulnerable for a time.
Very nice. Now I just have to get dps teammates that aren't doing 2-17 and hitting absolutly nothing while boosted 80% of the time... I swear, playing Mercy is just asking to get mad at people, because you can fully see people being bad. Yesterday I gave up and started to play battle Mercy. I finished with ~1800 damage (playing half the game ad dps Mercy). Our Sombra had 2200 damage...
What are you supposed to do if you feel like you have to be the main support…? I feel like im constantly getting games (as mercy) and I have to stand up and focus on the tank and I know that’s a big NONO as mercy but what choice do I have..?
In that situation, I just switch to Ana for more healing output and to anti enemies if my other healer isn’t putting out enough. You can’t one trick in this game due to counters so it’s good to learn other supports just in case you need to switch
Is there any reason why we shouldn't just turn and directional GA backwards instead of using backwards GA? Backwards GA has gotten me killed too many times when I miss 'S' and slingshot directly into the enemy team, I hate it.
Wait no one did for 4 months? Just ping a dead ally. Or if you don't have line of sight, hold down ping and press resurrect. The latter works for any cooldown.
I'm going crazy, I didn't hear you say it somehow-May I ask though, does Mercy healing being crazy after 50% hp on a target change much in terms of target priority or really anything to think about at all?
I absolutely hate mercy. She is so boring to use it’s unreal. I have to hit crouch once getting near an ally, to fly? Like what?? 😂🤦🏼 who tf designed this trash. And they wonder why nobody wants to play support. Nah 👎🏻 I’ll never use mercy with these stupid ability controls. It’s terrible just to be terrible 😂
