Well Put. I also walked away from Jesus when I was younger and I also feel it was the biggest mistake of my life. However, God used those dark times to make me the person I am today which is forgiven and loved by Him. His mercy is incredible.
I played this song at my Sons Funeral. He loved this song...I miss him more than words can say, but Praise God I will see him again one day in Heaven! This is a wonderful and comforting song and I truely thank Mercy Me for these words of comfort... Isn't God Great!!!

My son was born prematurely in my 28th week of pregnancy. I was told he won't live and if he does he will be blind deaf and dumb. I prayed ovet hom everyday and promised God to raise him like Hanna raised Samuel if he is spared. His childhood was free of all the doom doctors has foreseen. He is 31 years now, healthy strong and God loving. Thank you Jesus for walking with him on his path.

my son passed away memorial weekend in a car accident..he was 22 he had his life all planned out..was almost done with nursing school..and was getting married in 6 weeks and dated Emily they were high school sweethearts they were together for 8 yrs..I know God has a path for everyone in life and God needed him more then I did😇like over him so much and miss him more then anything in this world!!!! Hey Barb, i to get a real peace from listening to this song for same type of reason. Sept it will be 9 years since we saw our son, who was 4 days short of 21. It still confounds me as to why God wanted to take him from us. But I have to always return to there is a season for everything under heaven, His way are not mine. I wish you many happy days and peace in reminding your self of pleasant memories.

I live in Brazil, I had no idea of the success that this song made in the USA, but after watching the movie I confess that its lyrics touched me deeply, in a space of 10 months I lost my father-in-law and my mother-in-law, it was very painful and we are still recovering for the tragic way it was. My husband passed away 2 months ago on 4/15/2013 and this was his favorite song. It will be played at his memorial on 6/17/2013. he doesn't have to imagine anymor cause he now knows.

I just saw the movie with this song in it. It hit home so much for me, My father was a WWII Vet, he saw combat action, it affected him big time, he was one of the most abusive individuals I have ever met in my life, the things he did to my mother, me and my two sisters who both died young from child hood disease was terrible. We were not ever close until real late in his life when cancer took him at 67 years of age. We made peace he saw his granddaughter and died a couple of years later. I Love this song, God is in my heart forever and he is the only person I kneel for ever.

I don't know if you know this but Tim Tebow has a similar story, Doctors told his Christian Missionary parents he would have birth defects before he was born and recommended an abortion, His parents prayed and told God if he is born healthy they would raise him in a Godly Christian home to someday serve Him for His purposes! He's a walking/talking Awesome Miracle like your son! Amen!
