Yh ikr they were the best friendship, but after Alex left Jo just became super sad and started the whole OB thing so they barely get any work together any more. The mini livers was the height of Jo and Mer

I think he just sort of new it wouldn’t stop even if he did and it’s just how Meredith is

Jo had to stand up for her own self and it was good, plus S12 when Mer was attacked by patient Jo understood the dainamic friendship between Mer and Alex plus she later stand up for herself

that sure would be nice! Jo and Mer had both terrible childhoods in their on way and were both let down several times by people they loved, and both chose to turn that sad story into energy to heal people. When Jo was having that depression episode and Mer wouldn't leave her side, IMO Mer stayed because she rarely had people by her side when she was going through something but she saw how good that made her feel after she'd let people in. They have each other's backs, like Cristina and Mer used to do. Yeah, I can totally see Jo becoming Mer's new "person".
