Decreeing and declaring that I am going to visit in 2023. I will then spend at least 1-2 months out of the year there!

Hi Alex, First of all THANK YOU for providing these videos about Merida, Yucatan Mexico. I didn't quite get the intro in the video. Are you a Real Estate Agent in Mexico? If you are is it possible to provide more info regarding house rentals in Merida? I am about to retire in two months and looking to rent a house or apartment in Merida. Getting a little overwhelmed with the snow here in Colorado. Love to go back to Mexico and live a nice and relaxed life after retirement in nice warm weather.

Of course! I'm so glad you're enjoying them. I am a real estate agent, but in Kansas City. We used Elizabeth Rodriguez with Yucatan Beach and City Property, and our seller's agent was another of her agents that has a really good reputation, named Nicholas Sanders. They should be able to help you with rentals, or our architect Henry Ponce also has some properties available, including ours. If you send me a text 816-727-7740, I can get you their information if you have trouble finding them. I feel you on the snow! I'm glad we're almost done with it in Missouri!

We'll be in Merida June 22nd to July 6th to view the updates on our own Merida home (San Sebastion/La Ermita area) Calle 70 between 79 & 81 :-)

I visited Merida in May of 2012 just to “visit”, I fell in love with it so much that I ended up staying for 2 years 😍 I’m already saving to buy a house down there and retire way before I turn 65, this city is just heartwarming and peaceful

I completely agree, and it's wonderful to hear from people that had the same experience of falling in love with the city so quickly. Stayed for 2 years though?? That's awesome! Good luck in your saving and searching. Sounds like you've got a path to achieve your dream!

I project continued development in the Yucatan. Did you have a max height restriction on your home? Any strategies to mitigate neighbourhood noise? Also, Great info! Luvin it! Continue expanding your offerings. You have so much quality content to share. You helping the hospitals is a great thing. I brought down supplies to hospitals in Cuba for over 15 years and the amount of good a little gift can accomplish is huge!

If we had a max height restriction, I was unaware. We did however have to push our second story off the street so you could just see the original single story from the street. As far as mitigating noise, the first step is making sure you're not on a bus route, second is checking out the neighborhood to see if you have any loud clubs/restaurants/bars that are near you. Last, our house is really deep, and the noise dissipates as you go further back. Tall walls away from the street... seems to help a lot!

@@AlexanderFromKC Great tips on noise mitigation! Street facing elevation 2nd story setback makes sense from a planning perspective to keep the neighbourhood appearing less dense and more traditional. 3rd story (if allowed) would be even further set back most likely. Keep up the great work and you look a bit healthier Im glad to see.

Assimilate. A must. Por favor. My wife is 6th generation Yucateca. She welcomes foreigners as long as they learn or try to learn espanol. And do not try to change the way Yucatecan people live. I agree. Gracias Dios 🙏 🙏
