I love that you left in the “oh no” and “oops” moments when editing this one. Nail art is messy and imperfect and often requires in the moment decisions. Knowing everything does not always go according to the plan is important for those who want to learn this art. Love you Colette! ❤

I was going to edit most of it out & then I was like ... that's what happened LOL, and nail art should be accessible, so many tutorials are way more flawless than the average person can manage at home.

I love this too. It’s also the reason I love how they show the clean up every time. 😊

I love scoop marbles but sometimes they can be really frustrating LOL, I'm considering going back to the "stripe" kind of layout or figuring out another technique

The middle finger came out soooo nice! Wonder is you considered putting the two darker colors OPPOSITE of each other instead of next to each other - if that might keep them from blending together too much.
@MSLP
@MSLP 2 месяца назад
I was mainly considering the formulas - the cremes opposite each other & the shimmers opposite each other. I tested a few other layouts before starting the mani

Technical questions: (1) how do you keep from removing the capped-tip polish when you run the q-tip under the free edge during clean up; and (2), with these scoop marbles in particular, where the amount of super wet polish is extremely thick, how long before you top coat?? Also, you had me rolling on this one, Colette!!! My new motto: when in doubt, JUST ADD MORE POLISH...YOU GOT THIS!!!!
@MSLP
@MSLP 2 месяца назад
For the qtip it's a bit about the angle and a bit about the pressure - I use the "bulb" part of the qtip to do most of the cleanup and that kind of naturally creates less pressure at the tips where the wrap is

Only a bit longer than usual, thanks to Seche Vite! a good quick dry is a must for this kind of technique
