I met Merrill when I was 42. I totally cried and squealed like a 12 year old. He looked amused, gave me a big hug and an autograph, and I was on cloud 9.
I met Merrill in Branson about 10 years ago. I was waiting my turn to meet him off to the side. When he walked over to meet me, I extended my hand and promptly said, "my hand is sweaty!!!!"OMGosh....of all things I could say....lol He chuckled and then kissed me on my cheek instead of a handshake!!! I called my best friend after that as we are both Osmond fans and told her what happened. We both had a good laugh over my sweaty hand comment!!!! Merrill is a really nice guy.....as is all the brothers/family.
@@lianelayman6584 Oh goodness! I hope you can sometime soon. Maybe go to Serenity? You need to feel his bear hug people talk about. His hugs are the best!
I remember when they were very young and they were on the Andy Williams Christmas show! Amazing !!!Faith and a purity was appealing.Wish life was still so simple , happy and stress free ! Guess it wasnt so simple for them .But I thank them for the happiness they gave to millions of fans everywhere😍
Merrill is such a dear man. He and his family are so special to me. I'm so sorry you have gone through dark times, Merrill. You have gotten me through a lot of dark times with your wonderful music. I saw you guys in 1975 in Detroit when I was 12. A great time! God Bless you and your whole family.
I love the Osmond family. Such talented people. Pure joy to watch and listen to. I am not a Trump fan. I would vote for an Osmond for President though!
Merrill has always seen these good side filled with a sunny disposition....But DJT is NOT nice...my cousins know him. He's obnoxious. Still LOVE MERRILL ❤
Merrill ..we love you and all the Osmonds ...as far as your fans go ..yall are GOD sent to us from the very beginning now and forever !!! Thank you so much for giving us hope guidence and love through great music plus being examples of wholesomeness . KEEP rocking on !!
One thing is for sure we wouldn’t be in the situation we are now if Trump won last year, like him or hate he wouldn’t have tolerated any of this destruction of liberty .
@@BazookaToe he was the leader of the free world, now China is the leader of the free world, when its time to cry, clowns like you will cry the loudest and you'll only have your ignorance to blame 👍✌
@ Becran, well said. He doesn’t have his followers drinking Koolaid, but he has them avoiding the vaccine, so he’s probably caused more deaths at this point than the Reverend Jim Jones.
@@BazookaToe actually you can get down on your knees and thank Trump for your precious vaccine since if he didn't push it through you would have seen it for about 5 yrs or so. But he damn sure wouldn't have forced people to take it like you left wing psychos want to do.
@ Captain Quantril, what’s up with you guys getting on your knees for Trump? He loves that groveling. Maybe one day you can even kiss his ring, the rusty brown one he sits on.
@@leighcarlson87I would take President Trump over our current administration 100 % America becoming energy efficient lower gasoline prices lower cost of living lower taxes no new wars peace even in the middle east that's never been done before no matter what anyone says the record speaks for itself. America needs to get back to God 1st heading back in the right direction.

@@83c91 An end to endless wars. Building the wall. No CRT making European countries pay more for NATO. Ending NAFTA. Tackling MS13. Being energy independent. Leaving the Paris Agreement.
@@markstephen1308 Yes, and he also killed off hundreds of thousands of his own voters by being an idiot. Mass-culling of Americans is nothing to be proud of.
@@gnostic268 conquered Florida from the Seminoles and put his foot up the British Army's azz at the battle of New Orleans. Defended his honor in several duels. He was a walking talking American badass. Your left wing sensibilities mean nothing to me.
his use of language will be studied in the future. A very visual speaker, reducing a complicated issue like border security/emigration to "build a wall" is great persuasion. How many millions of people didnt travel north because they had a picture of a wall in their head. The wall didnt have to be built and it still worked.
Which is perfectly fine. He's flawed and sometimes the way he speaks turns me off. I voted for Gary Johnson in 2016 but Mr. Trump changed my mind for 2020. I'm a proud Trump voter! Especially after I realized that this man has been saying the same exact things for the last 20 years!
@@zenyattamondatta7757 oh yes they do. trump takes loans from china because us banks refuse to loan him money as he has a bad credit score. so they only way he can get his loan payment interest taken away he then by doing business with china. the maga hat were made in china.
@@zenyattamondatta7757 just turn the maga hat around and you get made in china logo. second the bank loans for his businesses is well documented by the trump foundation.
Such a fantastic Faith filled family. They share Heavenly Father's love thru their music and character. I once danced in their 4th of July spectacular here in Arizona, at Arizona State University stadium. Donny came in on our local news helicopter, strapped on, and standing on the struts, singing! Fun night! Yes I am LDS, we were asked to dance through the church.
His way of speaking is ludicrously boastful but I've become attentive to the actual consequences of a person's actions. Peace in the Middle East, a repatriation of US jobs from America, pacification of North Korea, growth in employment among the black male population. Oh and he built the wall after saying he would.
Trump wasn’t popular with this Mormon or many of my friends. He’s a dangerous person. However, I still love The Osmonds and won’t hold Merrill’s opinion of Trump against him.
It’s such a disappointment to hear one of the group I’ve loved for 50-plus years to say Trump, one of the most dangerous and repellant men of our times, is a nice guy. The rest of the interview is good but I’m going to pretend I never watched it.
He's just so down to earth and unassuming about his success as a musician and a Mormon alike. Great role model! I wasn't a fan of Trump, and that was mainly for his lack of diplomacy.
& morals...complete lack thereof, not to mention, he treats women like crap, abuses them & there's never been a bigger liar in that office! Trump is disgusting & I don't know how anybody can possibly stick up for the man! 🤷
I came to realize that he's fighting against pure evil hatred and he doesn't have time to be nice towards the horrible injustice coming towards his family supporters and President Trump as well 🙏
'was never really a fan of how he spoke' ... In the world of reality, substance matters, nice rhetoric doesn't. In fact, harsh truth is appreciated. Trump was talking to people in the real world, in their language, a refreshing change from impressively spoken BS and snake oil selling, that's why he won.
@@michaeltownes7670 Well, he got more votes for his second term than he did for his first, more than ANY Presidential candidate in history, including 'Hope and change' Obama. So more bought in I would say.
I am not a fan of how Trump spoke either, BUT he did what he said he would do, put America first and make the economy grow. He followed up on his promises…that to me is a sign of a great leader. I couldn’t care less about how he tweets or if he is egotistical…the proof is in the results. He was fantastic…too bad Bozo Biden is in the White House by selection not election. God help the USA.
Trump is a very special individual. He might not be everyones cup of tea but I don't know anyone that would take on the swamp and endure such hate for 5 years. Now Trump is out of office so much of what he said about the US and US politics is coming true. History books in 100 years time will be hailing Trump a hero for trying to save what is left of the US.
@@traceywilkins5798 There's no audit evidence, that's just OANN and co rattling on. The only way Trump is getting back is via a coup and as he spent much of last year annoying them military then he's not going to have the support.
Remember, actions speak louder than words? We teach that to kids, how has Merrill forgot that? He might not be the smoothest talker but he's a solid man who does what he says he'll do. Trump is worth is weight in gold.
Well this guy is from Utah so they're very into people's behaviour and conduct out there so much that there was speculation in 2016 that Trump could lose Utah.
Most Christians are Trump supporters and Bless his heart, Trump doesn’t have a filter, if he thinks it then it comes out his mouth. He doesn’t take time to soften it or phrase it in a better way & usually doesn’t mean it how it sounds. Just Pray that the next 3.3 years doesn’t hurt or mess up our Country too bad & maybe Trump will get another chance & it will be an improved softer spoken Trump but still tough. Thanks Merrill, still love you & your Family; Osmond Fan forever. 😊👏🏼👍🏻💕💕
Trump ‘is a really nice guy’ Ya know what..that quote says infinitely more about you... than anything, it can possibly say about Trump. Something in time..ya may come to reconsider...before it becomes your legacy... Me personally... an enabler is always worse... The perpetrator at least can't help themselves...

Trump always spoke his mind- maybe a bit harsh sometimes, but always spoke the truth, I hate people who lie to you with a smile on their face. I believe a president should have s backbone and stands by what he says [always loved the Osmonds]
Does that include Donnie who banged a porn star while his wife was pregnant? The same Donnie who rarely paid his bills? The same patriotic Donnie who got down on his knees and fellated Putin (metaphorically) and oversaw a vast rise of far-right violence in his own country?

@@HaggisMuncher-69-420 Yes, Hunter Biden is a drug-addled tart. We know this. Putin didn't respect Trump. Had you been paying attention the Russians leaked some files about how they'd profiled Trump pre-election and knew he was psychologically unstable and easy to manipulate.
