What a clever trick to use rectangle strips instead of measuring and cutting a ton of side set-in triangles, love it!

I really like the beginning of this quilt. It is looking so good and would be a great way to use up many scraps in the quilting room. One of the things I really love is you haven't bought mini charm packs or The rolls of 2 1/2" strips for the project but use what you have without buying the expensive precut small peices. Thank you for this I am looking forward to seeing more of this quilt.

So glad I found this scrappy pattern - have an overabundance of 2-1/2 inch squares and this is just what I needed to jump start a quilt using them. Thank you for this very clear concise video!

I really love this quilt square Beth! The extra white you add around the border is so visually appealing...it gives both the white and the colors an equal "pop" of impact without overwhelming the eyes. It is just gorgeous!

This is perfect. I've been wanting to make my brother a sort of simple, traditional looking quilt, and I think I can use this block with a blue background fabric to make one he'd really like. I love your style of sewing, very scrappy and unfussy, it feels very traditional and an intuitive way to use what you have.

Very nice. Nothing prettier then a scrappy quilt. I look at them as “FREE” quilt tops. I like your idea of adding 4 1/4 rectangles to the ends. I have so many 2 1/2 strips, I’ll have to get busy with this one. Thank you for a great idea

Hello, Beth! I’m Judy from Bedford, Virginia, and I’m a retired teacher. I find myself coming back to your channel over and over again, loving your gentle manner of speech, which reminds me that quilting should be relaxed and fun! I have a couple of question: do you sew everyday, and if you do, how do you manage so many different projects at one time (assuming you do have several projects going on at any given time.)? I am trying to become more productive, but this queen size quilt as you go I am making is at the point where I need to put it all together. I need a plan to work on it while having some fun piecing to work on too. I currently have three hours a day in which to work. How long do you work each day?
@bethshibleyquilts
@bethshibleyquilts 2 года назад
Thank you for your kind note. Every day is very different in my sewing room. Some days I can spend the morning quilting and others ......not so much! I will say this channel motivates me to be productive! I really enjoy sharing my love of sewing and quilting.

Hi Miss Beth! I really LOVE this block, and today I made it!! It's not perfect, mine came out at about 16 1/2 inches, and that's ok. I'm pretty happy with it 😊. Thank You so much for making this video, you explained it so well. First time I have ever made blocks on point... gonna try to make it a full quilt ☺️.
