I'm a Villa fan who grew up in the 70s and 80s. I remember when Liverpool and Everton fans sat together. I think the problem is, too many kids watched Football Factory and Green Street. Now they think this is the way they to behave. Don't get me wrong, it's always been like this when Villa played Birmingham or West Brom but the city of Liverpool used to different.
Didn't you see the Liverpudlians getting a police escort. There aren't any Reds from Liverpool that go the game. That's why Derby games have become toxic.
@@gary1642 they got an escort from the 12th man pub, Everton fans get a escort from the brick pub at the anfield games, it's to stop trouble between the young fans, it never used to happen it's a shame.
@anthonyo.6084 the friendly derby is now the toxic derby as Liverpudlians are no longer from Liverpool. As for police escorts for games in your own city come off it. I understand a police presence at strategic points but are Evertonians going to congregate outside a pub so the police can take them to Anfield? No they leave home and go to the ground.
@anthonyo.6084 the Friendly Derby is now the Toxic Derby due to Liverpudlians not being Scousers. I understand a police presence at strategic points but do you really believe Evertonians leave their homes and travel to the Brick so the police can take them to Anfield. When I went to away games I usually drove so just made my way to the ground. Escorts in your own City, come on .
@@gary1642Plenty of reds from Liverpool go the game. The only difference at Everon is the lack of success, so we've gathered more support while Everton have not. Thats why it is a doddle getting a ticket at Woodison compared to Anfield. The city is red, naturally, because of Liverpool's size, stature & success.
What has happened ? In the eighties I walked around Wembley numerous times..Us and Everton together no issues..now we are no better than anyone else In the country..sad fact
I know..we're in Wigan I'm a Evertonian the wife a red. We went to the 86 FA cup final and I sat in the Liverpool end with my shirt on. No bother just friendly banter. Shame really.
I get stick but I have my view on it. Liverpudlians get annoyed but the fact is we used to go with are mate blue or red. Liverpools support now is overwhelmingly from fans outside the area. When it was friends and family you would have a laugh and give out some friendly stick. The jokes after Heysel didn't help either" we knocked Everton out of the European Cup without kicking a ball "? They thought that was funny, then it wasn't after Hillsborough.
Well played everton im happy with a place in the champions league and a cup for liverpool this season well done in surviving this season blues look forward to playing against you next time...
I watched the game in Albania where I am, the locals thought I was crazy dancing and singing with my Everton flag COYB.... 39 years ago yesterday the Bayern game and I was there, wow the years fly by...
That team when we won the cup winners cup against Bayern, one of the best teams ever, I think we would of won the European cup, if English team's hadn't of got banned, because of Hysell it was a disaster for everyone, but I was only about 12/13, and was thinking we were lucky to get to the final we was gonna get beaten by Bayern, cos they had an unbelievable team, they had rummennige he was 💩hot, but we beat em 2-0, I was on top of the world, cos there weren't too many EFC fans round are end😊💙💯 till I die.
@@scouser-fr9kb you lucky sod, I remember watching it, thinking it was a piss take, but when I realised it wasn't I was just buzzing, but I bet that was up with the best night of you're life bar none, but if you're married I won't tell you wife lol 🤣 ha ha 👀😁.
@@Everton-Valley-2005 yeah I knew that, still in the mindset of last night, lol 🤣, didn't even realise it's cos that's the first time we beat Liverpool for yrs, so I was still thinking about that game, ha ha 🤣😁💙. What a plank lol 🤣.
When are you having the open top bus parade? It’s always nice to be able to celebrate something every three or four decades though. All jokes aside well done Everton. 👍🏼😂
@@cal-efc8062 Wasn't there lad, to long ago, was you one of the boo boys at chelsea last week who got of, and was back home before the end of the game. 😂 Steau Bucharest.
Funny how times have changed , 40+ years ago you could have safely worn a Red scarf in the home supporters end without fear (which i did albeit i entered the wrong stand) got a few funny looks as you do but no issues 👍👍 Liverpudlian Brothers and Sisters simply divided by a Public park 🤔🤔🤔 The Good Old Days ..............................................🤫🤫
No so mate. 40 yrs ago (season 84/85) Graeme Sharpe scored a screamer at Anfield. I was in the stand at the side of the Kop. It was the 1st time I saw Lpool fans attack Everton fans in the Kop - when they were mixed.
Home after clavicle surgery 😫 so I didn’t see the match but as a Red congratulations to Everton and hope fans enjoy it. Living in London for years i want both teams to do well (except in derby) as it’s good for the city and scousers the best people in UK. For years now feel Everton fans be let down and deserve a more.
I often like many Evertonians watched the derby in the Kop. We congregated on the left near the Main Stand. Never any trouble, we just gave each other lots of stick. That's what Scousers did. Today many Liverpudlians aren't Scousers . I'm not looking for an argument just stating a fact. The 'friendly derby' is now the 'toxic derby'. Friends and families are still split red and blue, the reds can't get tickets anymore. 2 years ago I drove past Anfield at about 2pm on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Liverpool had a Champions League game that evening. At 2pm the crowds round Anfield were already gathering. Club shop bags filled with tat everywhere. These weren't Scousers, they'd be at work or school. They'd get home have their tea then go to the game. Once in a lifetime Liverpudlians counting down the clock so they could take part in the pantomime before kickoff which is YNWA. That's why fans are segregated as they are today.
@@gary1642 now you are talking sense Gary. I have lived here all my life, brought up by my dad, who was at Rome in 77, as a red. During the 80's I recall going to the first Merseyside League Cup Final and our group of mates was mainly reds. For the replay at Maine Rd it was quite easy getting hold of tickets, I'm sure every one of us (at least 12 of us) all had tickets. Unfortunately modern day football is not like that anymore. My 2 sons have Red Membership cards which they have to pay for pre season but it still does not guarantee a ticket for any game. It's more or less a lottery acquiring a ticket for a home game. As for away games, its virtually impossible. They want to go to every hime game but because of Liverpool's success down the years the global fanbase has taken over, depriving local fans the chance to watch the team they support. I would never deny the fact that we have a massive influx of "wools" on a match day, it is true, because of our success. But I can't agree with any Everton fan telling me that all our fans are out of towners, Norwegian or Chinese. The fact is, if we gather more support around the globe then clearly we attract more support in the city of Liverpool. I was born here, I live here and I work here and I dont see a mainly blue city, far from it. Yes it is far easier for local blues to get tickets for Everton games than it is for us reds to get tickets for Anfield, we are victims of our own success. Evertonians should look on the bright side, because if Everton had won as much as Liverpool over the years, maybe you'd struggle to get a ticket for any given home game.
Ha, ha,ha, how long is it since you last won against the reds at the cow shed under the lights , how old was you then ?, can you even still remember, ha ha ha.
@@thomashaslam5312calm down mate, we won last night and stopped you winning the league in klopps last season, no fairytale, but I did want Liverpool to win the league, but Everton needed that, probably safe now, i still want Liverpool to win the league, but it gonna be tough.💙❤.
@@MichaelParkinson-wz1nhWe stopped ourselves from winning the league mate . It started in March I'd say when we played Manchester United twice and for some mad reason our heads dropped . It pains me to say that as it's them. There are a few other factors too by the way . If you want to hold on to the thought that Everton stopped us from winning it then go on .
@@pablojablo6371 nah I was just taking the gypsys kiss, i actually like klopps Liverpool they play good football, but he shouldn't of announced he was leaving, cos they don't seem like the same team,💙❤️.
Expect rivalry and a bit of verbal abuse but Everton and Liverpool could stand together back in the day. Families split in two but it wasn't violent. London and Manchester clubs were seen as the enemy when I was a kid.
Well played Everton happy for you bill I say that with a bad taste in my mouth, I’ve always been a Liverpool fan always will be the clubs have so much similarities, good luck for next season bill 👍
As an Evertonian who has been watching them since the late sixties and been to many derbies watching this makes me feel sick. It is one reasons I do not go to games these days. I know i am an old git but football has changed and not for the better.
I think it stems from after Heysel when all English teams were banned from Europe. It stopped Everton playing in the European Cup twice, and their fans then became different to Liverpool fans!
Big love and respect to all liverpudlians, the most true and realest of football supporters. Yous very lucky having two great football clubs in one city, got alot to be proud of coming from liverpool. Best wishes from a cardiff city fan 👊🏽❤️💙
Don’t think we lost it at Goodson park Bill ,you play every team twice and whoever is top after 38 games wins the League ,still 4 games left I think mate 😉
UTFTs I remember seeing windows going in on Derby day in the Stanley Park pub about 20 years ago, it use to be just behind where Billy is filming the escort. It wasnt blue on red it was blue on police.
Great video Billy, a well earn victory for the Blues, nice to put the RS in their place, let's hope many more to come. Keep up the great work with your channel. COYB 💙💥
We’re All Scousers Pathetic the carry on out of both sets of fans Hatin on each other. I get it There Our Rivals I can’t stand LFC More than any other Blue But there’s only one winner. THE POLICE Too many good lads on both sides have done time for their respective clubs Time to sort differences out in Boxing rings etc Banters healthy I give it out to Thr Reds They give it back That’s ok but takin it up a level Wanting to scrap over bollocks and get nicked is bollocks Sort it out Up The Toffees❤️💙✌️ Now it’s Toxic
1 defeat at Woodison in 14 years, we can't grumble really. As for Everton, where did that performance come from ? 🤣 🙈 DCL must have been laid off by Boux Avenue to finally turn up this season. Loving the "plazzy flags" too - kopite behaviour isn't it ? 🤣
Wow how ffng sad is this police escort 😢 in the 70 and 80s blue noses use to about 3000 tickets to stand on our Kop, l was in the Annie rd end looking over at it. Ive even been on gladwys end in my lfc hat...no trouble apart from bit of verbal abuse. What ffng shocked me was seeing some young ffng blue noses at Anfield last season on you tube mocking our 97angels ❤...ffng sick. We all use to mingle in the boozers arond Anfield or Goodison or city centre before kick off..lm so glad l don't go anymore with all this hatred. 😢
We beat Liverpool on the night because we were better than them but i am fed up of listening to a lot of Liverpool fans saying the team and players are not good enough get on with it you are still third from top,you have neto points deducted and i think you could still win the league anything could happen you might have to rely on us to beat arsenal on the last day of the season
Everton won fair and square but some of their fans need to take a long look at themselves. Many of used to travel to the match together on Derby Day and have a pint together afterwards.
We don't the feeling of losing 😂that song makes me chuckle 😂 and sorry but we didn't lose the league at goodison park guys come on don't be silly now bill lad 😂
Some horrible Everton fans ya know. It’s only a game and they’re entitled to enjoy a big victory. But the violence and abuse to fellow scousers is out of order
As a red I'd rather turf Everton 3 points than take 3 and still lose the league. Rivalry aside the City of Liverpool needs 2 Premier league teams. Congratulations. YNWA
Football is a working class sport that the middle class can afford to go and sneer when the working class somehow spend half a days wages on a ticket they got online because they spent ages on the phone and Tarquin gave his seat up.
@@adtoa2865 It was more down to I think the ten year anniversary of Hillsborough, the derby was that weekend, and Liverpool had their stadium announcer do a bit of a speech pre minute's silence. He wanted to remember the dead of all football tragedies, I think there was a stampede in Africa too, so he rattled off Burnden Park, Ibrox and Valley Parade fire. Cue minutes silence. Then a blue piped up, What about Heysel??? Don't 30 odd dead Italians count?' And it went off a bit. Maybe not the best time to raise the point, but a valid one. The only time I can remember it being brought up anywhere was in the BT Sport Doc Two Tribes, when Mark Lawrenson said, it was airbrushed from history. That was when I first started looking at them in a different light.
